Audioengine A2+ Wireless Powered Speakers

I have a slew of Audioengine speakers (A5+, A6, A2+, A2...) and bought these to replace an old dead pair of A2s. Because these use Class D amps, these are lighter and use significantly less power - perhaps they are a little less resilient when it comes to loud volumes, but for the size (they are tiny), I'm very satisfied.

The B&H shopping experience was top notch as usual. I had done a ton of research before deciding upon Audioengine A2+ speakers. The research seems to have paid off. I was pleasantly surprised at how awesome the speakers sound right out of the box. Some of the reviews I had read indicated a subwoofer is required to really bring out the speakers. I decided to listen to them for a few days without a subwoofer before adding one to judge for myself. While I found the bass a little flat, I felt that as computer desk speakers, they sounded great. I later added an 8 subwoofer and Holy Cow did that ever make a difference! Now the speakers sparkle accompanied by deep rich bass. I love listening to music at my desk and the Audioengine A2+ speakers (with subwoofer) makes that experience way more pleasurable. I highly recommend the speakers.

The B&H webpage for the Audioengine A2 + speakers did not include this stand as an accessory. I did a separate search on the B&H online site for the speaker stand & came up with the DS-2 which I assumed was the appropriate stand for the ordered A2 + speakers (particularly due to the 2 inclusion in the model number. It was only once delivery of the speakers and stand did I suspect that they were oversized. A further search revealed that there is a smaller stand DS-1 which is the one I should have ordered. I returned them for an exchange & incurred a return shipping cost. The appropriately sized stands should clearly be listed as an accessory for these speakers.

The Audioengine A2+ speakers deliver an outstanding audio experience with their compact size, producing clear, rich sound that far exceeds expectations. The setup was incredibly straightforward, and their performance from the get-go was nothing short of remarkable.

I'm very pleased with the Audioengine A2+ speakers. I bought them to use as portable speakers for my laptop computer. I chose the Audioengine A2+ model because I already have their 5+ speakers dedicated to my desktop computer for music and movies and I have experienced them to be of very good sound quality. In addition, they are pleasing to the eye. I would highly recommend Audioengine speakers.

I had previously purchased the Audioengine A2+ speakers but the impact just wasn't there. With this sub attached it makes the sound a lot cleaner. I love that I can dial in the volume and crossover on this sub so that it hits just right with my preferred music. It is a pretty alrge sub compared to what I previously had but it's perfect for the sound it gives out.

I replaced my passive Logitech computer speakers with a pair of the Audioengine A2+ speakers and a small 6.5 powered subwoofer. This is a great combination for listening to streaming videos and music in my small office. I use the USB input for the signal from my computer and the RCA outputs to send a signal to the powered subwoofer (Acoustic Audio PSW-6 purchased separately). Shown in the pictures on the Audioengine DS1 stands. The only con is the volume knob is on the back. I would purchase them again.

I have used Audioengine's 5Plus powered speakers for several years and have been impressed except for distortion.. They had been paired with an unnamed product consisting of three Jack Ryan novel sized units, with wires everywhere and an IMac. Unfortunately, I experienced considerable distortion. The D1 replaced all three and the sound is crystal clear. No discernible distortion. I couldn't ask for more. The only thing that some users might find negative is that the system bypasses all equalization and volume controls on the computer. This is not a problem for me, but if other listeners want a boom box, they will have to provide it after the D1.A big plus is the support Audioengine provides its customers. I emailed them twice with questions regarding the use of the product. In both cases, I received a response immediately. All manufacturers should have the quality of product and customer support they do.

Have this paired with the A2+ speakers. Adds a great bottom end. Took a little while to set up the wireless daisy chain using the W3 audio adapters, but Audioengine's site has clear, detailed setup info.

They are a great match for the A2+ speakers.
