August 21 Eclipse Columbus Oh Glasses

This was a purchase for securing my tripod during the August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse. I didn't have any problems with the sandbag.

I purchased this for the August 21 eclipse which was also the first time I used it. Despite my lack of experience or practice with it beforehand, I managed to accomplish a daytime polar alignment using an app and I was able to get everything set up without a problem. The Skytracker Pro performed great despite the fact that I was using gear that was heavier than the specs on unit provided. I am not impressed by most things I buy, but this time I definitely was!

Bought these bins to use on August 21 for viewing total solar eclipse. A fairly priced set of bins provided excellent viewing through all phases of eclipse. Am now interested in using them for viewing the sun on other occasions.

I used these for the August 21 Eclipse and they were fabulous. I could actually see sun spots with them. I would recommend for anyone wanting to view the sun on a regular basis.

I am a new media artist from Columbus, OH. All of my work, my life, is on my computer, and desperately needed backed up (on a hard-drive that stays at home). This HD is 4x the memory of my computer, large enough that I won't be tempted to take it out of the house, and was very reasonable for the price. Shipping was fast.

I literally just returned home from a trip to the Columbus, OH zoo to test this lens. (All my telephoto lenses are first used at the zoo since they have some very large enclosures that require a fair amount of reach.) This lens performs much beyond the relatively reasonable price point. The build quality is quite good considering it is not a L lens. The zoom is very smooth and consistent through out the total range. I hand held most of my photos today and the VR in the lens worked extremely well (I am shooting with a Canon RP which doesn't have sensor based VR.). Considering the focal length range the camera-lens combo isn't especially unwieldy. One useful feature, it will focus to about 40 inches at 400mm. You can cover roughly a 2 x 3 inch area and give some distance to subjects you may not want to be too close to. I honestly can highly recommend this lens.

I bought this filter for the Great American Solar Eclipse of 2017/8/21. Yes it is expensive, but if you are a serious solar eclipse chaser who travels around the world to catch a glimpse of it, this is a must have item to capture the phases of the solar eclipse in sharp, white detail. Please view the compare and contrast photos between a disposable filter and the Marumi filter.
