Great extra battery and an external charger. Perfect for going on long trips when you need more battery life. 5 |

Quality inexpensive battery charger. Ideal in that it is better to charge the batteries in an external charger vs. thru the camera. 5 |

Running off a laptop means it helps to have an external that has its own power source so its not draining my laptop battery. I have a portable drive so I use this one when in the studio and both always contain the exact same files. I have used Western Digital for years and trust them as I have never had one fail. 5 |

If you shoot much at all, must have the external charger 5 |

The battery works fine. It does take some time to fully charge the battery using the external charger, but I like the higher capacity of the battery. Also, the price came down which make it even better. 5 |

Having only had this camera for a couple of weeks, I'm still learning its intricacies, but so far, I find it a worthy upgrade to my much loved G9. Paired with the Leica / Lumix 9mm f1.7, it focuses quicker and more accurately than the original G9. The viewfinder is much brighter than the G9, which gave me fits when wearing sunglasses; no such problem with the G9II. The hair trigger shutter release on the G9 has been replaced with a more typical sensitivity, nearly eliminating unintended shots of my feet while walking with the camera turned on. I'm still getting used to the changed button placement, but nothing seems inappropriate, just different. My only complaint so far is the lack of an external battery charger; making charging one battery while shooting with another impossible. Fortunately, I have the original G9's external charger. Overall, very pleased. 5 |

The Panasonic Lumix does not come with an external charger, so I saw this as a necessity to have a spare battery charged when the dead one is swapped. I do not like plugging my camera into an outlet, I prefer plugging in my battery. 5 |

The camera that I purchased did now include a external charger. Instead the Camera charges the Battery internally in about three hours. Since you cannot use the camera during the charge cycle, I purchased the compact Watson charger and a spare battery to avoid downtime. Although it takes about the same time to charge the battery as the Camera, I am able make full use of my Point and Shoot and always have an extra charged battery. 5 |
