Auto Stabilization Camera Accessories

A few things missing are in-camera stabilization and better auto focus but from what I can tell those are the only two things missing. The pros highly outweigh the cons though. I have been in the biz since 2000 and I’ve used every camera out there from analog to digital to hd and 4k. Every brand out there. Black magic has a great advantage over the big brands and gives us a solid alternative to RED. If you are currently using full frame and mft scares you, don’t worry. I still use full frame with solid auto focus for certain applications and I’m very happy with how mft looks. I use a mix of metabones full frame adaptation as well as native mtf along with vintage lenses and I am happy with all of them. Lots of resolution and bitrate options make it really friendly to use.

This is a 200 mm lens f/2.8 that is very sharp and fast, even with the 1.4X teleconverter. This would be the equivalent of a 400 mm f/2.8 lens for a full frame camera (or equivalent to a 560 mm f/4 when the teleconverter is used) at a fraction of the cost of the equivalent full frame lens! There is also an optional 2X teleconverter available. Can lens be very easily hand held (providing a good technique) due to the internal stabilization system that can be paired to the Camera stabilization system. This represent a 6.5 stop of stabilization when used with the Lumix 9G body. Furthermore, there is a programmable button on the lens barrel that is very handy (I use it for auto-focus and remove the auto focus on the shutter button). There is also a programmable focal length memory selector button. On top of this, there is a f stop ring at the end of the barrel that I really like. This f stop ring can be use to any f stop, overriding the camera (manual) or could be set to "auto" for the camera to take over. With such a low f/stop, this is an excellent telephoto lens to use in low light condition. I would highly recommend this lens to any serious photographer, especially for birds and wildlife photography.

Ive been using Panasonic camcorders for several years now and each one keeps getting better. This camera has solid optical stabilization, good auto focus and all the things i look for in a camera. Only one small complaint i have it on the V770 that i came from, this model doesnt allow you to turn on the led light from the main screen. You have to go into the menu which is a paid, but not a deal breaker.

I'm very happy with this lense. Has a excellent image stabilization, so in most cases you don't need a tripod. STM makes auto focusing practically silent. Very recommended for a beginner photographer.

Wanted this to be able to get closer without getting closer. I am happy! This has good auto focus & the stabilization helps a ton. The range from the 60-600 has me only carrying 3 lens regularly, this one, a Sigma 24-70, & an old 17mm fisheye. Just be warned this is heavy but worth the weight. B&H was Fast wuth delivery too.

I love it. I use it for video. I have just kept it in auto since I got it. I love autofocus and image stabilization. And the image quality is amazing. Works perfectly with the Rode GO Wireless lav mics. I work alone so I don't want to fiddle with camera settings, I want to focus on my subject. This is exactly what I needed.

Was experimenting with this big canon lens on my Olympus OM-D E-M1 MkII M4/3. Did not want to settle for f/4 OLy. 300mm. Wow it works great. Auto focus-fast. Stabilization- either the lens or the cameras stellar IBUS; the lens is is better! Ver.2 of this lens would work even better. Next tried ver3 of the 2x converter. Auto focus- slightly slower in lower light. Stabilization-less but good. Also bought speed booster. Now one lens and 4 lens choices 213mm f/2, 300mm f/2.8, 426mm f/4, 600mm f/5.6. The 35mm equivalents are 426,600,952,1200mm. The optics of this canon lens are so superior that even the 600mm f/5.6 images are sharp + contrasty .

This is a great lens, and my first RF lens after purchasing a Canon C70. Incredibly fast autofocus, but tends to search a bit - but using the manual-focus auto-focus functionality in the C70, it's giving me the best of my Canon CN-E 35mm T1.5 LF Cinema Prime Lens but auto-focuses the last bit. I'm giving it 4/5 stars because it isn't as sharp as I would like (but then again, I'm spoiled coming from a prime).  After getting this lens I'll be selling most of my EF and MFT lenses - great lens!  Also the digital stabilization in C70 paired with the lens stabilization is just incredible. Coming from a C100 and a GH5, it's much more natural and fluid. Also the lens is completely silent when focusing.

Killer stabilization! The auto tune on this is great as motors don't have to work hard when shooting. Love vortex mode too when shooting b-roll in the subway!

I use it as alternative for action cams that mounted inside of cars, or for casual shooting as an alternative to iPhones. The footage gives me the vibe of Fujifilm xt30 although it doesn’t have the 10 bit capability. I’d choose it over xt30 any day of the week for its digital stabilization, auto tracking, auto exposure. I’ve been looking for alternatives for gopros or dji action which have their own place in docos, but I’ve hated the footage that comes out of action cams. The only disadvantage of zv1 is the 24mm lens after digital stabilization crop becomes more or less a 35mm and its not wide enough. I can predict that the zv2, which would probably come out late 2021 to mid 2022, will have a wider lens since this has been a huge limitation.
