This drive joins the rest of my SanDisk family. I use it as an automatic backup for my computer files. I've only had it for two weeks so far, but not isuues setting up or using on a daily basis. Being SanDisk, I don't forsee any issues either. Lifetime warranty doesn't hurt either

This switch can be configured as manual or automatic. Appropriately plugging in the cables would give you a manual installation completed. A pair of lights on the switch indicates which computer is connected. Of course this configuration is solid and very reliable. Then when have some time to play with the computers,one can install the software on both computer to make switch to connect the printers automatically.

I use it to provide conditioned power (uninterruptible as well) to my computer and all peripherals. The automatic voltage regulation is as, if not more important to sensitive electronics. Under voltage and over voltage can do bad things to electronics and it is not as apparent as a power outage, spikes, or brownouts. I have another of the same on my TV, cable modem, DVD player as well. You hook it up, it works, you do nothing (except change the battery every couple of years). I have a Mac and their software doesn't run on a Mac. But it is no big deal as you really don't need it.
