You get the sense that your average Canon engineer will (on the QT) use Samyang lenses. No autofocus, no auto-aperture. When you stop down the lens, what you see is what you get. The focusing ring is mechanical, so you don't have any sense of disconnection, when you engage focus. How it should be? But, there's more: Lenses from Samyang are fast: F 1.4 is a very fast lens. Coupled with the obvious quality of the optics, you won't be disappointed. You may also discover extended battery life, as the camera does not power any lens functions. All told? A refreshing rediscovery about what photography is all about. Get away from autofocus, and embrace the art in all of its dimensions, including manual selection of focus and aperture. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a retired engineer. I use my computers for many years, so I want they to survive the early bathtub curve interval. The first three years should cover any mechanical or fan issues the unit is likely to experience. This means that I can expect to get five to seven years out of this computer. The computer it is replacing is seven years old. 5 |

This was a replacement for a Mac Pro. I use the computer for average tasks and it works well for that. I haven't noticed any difference between this computer and my old Pro. 5 |

it is always hard for me to buy the protection plan when I am already spending thousands on a new computer, but if you average the cost out over the length of the 2 years, then its basically like having insurance for your new investment for less than $10 a month. I waste $10 a month on more worthless things then that, so its really a no brainer 5 |
