B650M Aorus Elite Ax Manual

I ended up keeping this motherboard over the Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX. The install and bios update was smooth. My Corsair Vengeance RAM worked perfectly with the mobo. Definitely highly recommend for folks switching to the AM5 chipset.

I started with a gigabyte z690 elite ax, and it killed new ddr5 with its own software. So i returned, and went over my personal budget for this motherboard. Nothing but smooth happy running. Havent skipped a beat, no problems, and the Armory Crate software doesnt act like a trojan virus! Nothing but smiles, besides my friends all run Asus, i felt like trying Gigabyte. Lesson learned!

Paired it with an Asrock B650M mobo and 32GB GSkill DDR5 6000 RAM, and all works perfectly. Great overall upgrade, and looking forward to (hopefully) easy AM5 socket CPU upgrades in the future. Low TDP keeps things pretty cool even with the included stock cooler, and is plenty powerful enough for gaming. Upgraded from an old i7-3770k, so the difference is pretty noticeable.

One of the only AM5 B650M boards that has both optical and line outs. Has plenty of other I/O as well. Shipped version was 1.2, not the latest 1.3. BIOS as shipped was FB. Installed easily into Thermaltake Tower T200 case. My first gigabyte board in years, been ASUS for past 10y. The gigabyte BIOS was easy to navigate and understand. Updated to latest BIOS, changed to EXPO settings on my RAM, everything just works.

Perfect for elite dangerous.

Not much to say other than it works well on my SJ5000X Elite.

Came quickly, and was exactly what I was looking for, for Elite Dangerous.

It has been more than amazing. I would recommend getting the Elite Strap though.

Installed in a Gigabyte Aorus Pro AC mobo and enabled the XMP profile BIOS and it booted right up. Verified memory clock is stable and running at 1800 MHz.

This replaces my Ryzen 7 1800X in a Gigabyte Aorus X470 Gaming with an RTX 2070 Super. Huge improvement in general responsiveness (my 1800X frequently lagged briefly here and there), and big increases in performance using Cinebench R23 (1800X: Single Core 1018 Multi 9309 5800X: Single 1694 Multi 15299) and with games (most either gained +20fps, much higher qualty settings, or both). I haven't tweaked it, just running it under the same water-cooling rig I used for the 1800X. Great upgrade!
