Backlight Camera Backpack

I recently used the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack (Charcoal) for a convention in Las Vegas. I carried two a7iv's with 28-200 lenses, a charger, battery, two water bottles, and snacks for over 30 miles of walking and the pack was comfortable the entire time. The backpack's design allowed for easy access to my camera gear and the well-padded straps and back panel made it easy to carry all of my items without any discomfort. One thing I really appreciate about this backpack is that it doesn't have the normal overtly sleek tech look to it, but has more of an outdoorsy vibe which is nice and can help you not stand out or look like a target for tech thieves. Overall, I highly recommend the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack for anyone in need of a durable and comfortable backpack for carrying camera gear and other essentials. 5 |

The Backlight Elite 45L is the perfect backpack for a single day out in the field. I can bring a camera body and a full arsenal of lenses: 70-200mm, 24-70mm, 17-40mm, and 180mm macro. I bought this camera backpack to replace my LowePro Trekker AW. The LowePro did not have enough torso length. So the weight was on my shoulders and spine. Ouch The Backlight 45L fits me just right. I'm 6' and this backpack has the right torso length and rides right on my hips, where it belong. The extra large lumbar support is very welcome, too. I suffer from previous thoracic back fractures, compressed lumbar discs, and a reverse shoulder replacement. I can walk with this backpack comfortably for hours. There are so many nice touches to this camera backpack, demonstrating how much thought and engineering went into it. I wish that Think Tank made a 70L camera backpack in their MindShift line for overnight camping. I'd buy it in an instant! 5 |

This is the third Mindshift Backlight backpack I have purchased. Why three? As I have downsized my gear I have also downsized my backpacks. Since these backpacks have my preferred opening (against my back) I keep coming back. I can get 3-4 small Fuji or Leica bodies in this bag with plenty of room left for extra lenses and accessories. I use the outer pocket for a rain shell when needed. I have also found if I use a larger pack I tend to fill it even if not needed and then I am carrying too much gear. I am now trying to keep it small and simpler. 5 |

Needed a backpack that could not only transport my equipment but also be well built and confortable. The Mindshift Backlight 18L was perfect. Only I should have gotten the 26L as now I could use a little more room. 5 |

The one word that comes to mind with the Mindshift Gear Backlight 18L backpack is Quality. Everything about this bag is first rate. As for size, I'm only 5 feet, 5 inches, so I was looking for a bag that would hold my gear, but wouldn't be so long that the bottom of the bag would rest on my tailbone. This bag fits the bill. Also, while not a big bag, it's big enough to hold my Sony mirrorless camera and several lenses. 5 |

During the boxing week I bought in Canada the Lowepro Whistler II (hiking, back country, ski) for a really good price but I was not happy: too heavy, too bulky, too cumbersome. I returned it. I love the quality of my Think Tank Trifecta 10 so I decided to give a chance to Mindshift, even if I had no way to try the Backlight here in Toronto. Well, thanks to B&H I received the backpack in less then a week (the price was really good too) and now I can finally say “that’s the backpack that I was looking for! Light, easy to use, well made, very comfortable, Think Tank quality and a plethora of room for my gear. The Mindshift Backlight 26 deserve five stars, no doubts! 5 |

I needed a backpack that could carry all of my lenses, and this Mindshift Gear Backlight 26L fits the bill. I have a 300mm f/4, 24-85mm, 28-300mm, 70-200 f/4, 1.4x teleconverter, 24MP DSLR, and a flash unit and it all fits. Previously I have been using the 22L Rotation 180 Panorama, which is a fantastic backpack, however I find the Panorama pack works well if I am only bringing 1 - 2 lenses. However if one is bringing 2 lenses, usually the 2nd lens has to be put in the upper portion of the Panorama, and one has to take off the backpack to switch lenses...which is exactly the opposite reason for buying the backpack. Additionally stashing a 2nd lens in the upper compartment takes up precious space that is needed for other gear like jackets, sweaters, and lunch. However, the Backlight 26L solves all of these issues, as I can now bring all the gear. I like that the side pockets are big enough to fit a 40 oz. Hydro Flask Wide Mouth insulated water bottle. I am amazed that I can fit my iPad Pro, and laptop, if I want to carry even more weight! If I am only taking one lens, and I am moving fast and light, I still use my Rotation 180 Panorama...however for those other situations when I need to take more gear, especially when I am working mostly from a car, the Backlight 26L works perfectly. 5 |

This product can be used for any camera bag which has female velcro walls. I use it for Mindshift Gear Backlight 18L, and it works perfect. Store extra SD cards for emergency, and put a lens cap in the mesh pocket when the lens is in use. 5 |

This light is extremely light and very bright. Originally I was only planning to use it as a camera light, but now I am considering using it as a backlight when I travel. I always have a problem with might light kit being too heavy to check with an airline. Now I just need to get a 1x1 for a key light. I love this light. 5 |
