Backpack Camera Cases

I have replaced my backpack and soft camera cases with this, and I'm not sorry. It holds everything securely, prevents damage, is dust and water resistant, and it's tough. I don't have to worry about where I put it down, my camera and accessories remain safe inside. The pick and pluck foam made it easy to customize to fit my stuff exactly.

I need a backpack for my camera outings and the ones that I looked at for DSLRs are nice, but in reality, that is about all you can put in them- camera stuff. So, I went with a conventional style backpack and decided to store lenses in the Lowepro cases. The 9-13cm fits a Nikon 55-300mm VR with a Hoya HMC filter on the lens, the lens hood on backwards, as well as the caps on the front and back. It fit it perfectly. The case is padded well and provides good protection. Its got mounting straps with Velcro that will attach yo your belt, or to what I am using to store the camera in- a Lowepro Toploader 50 AWII. I will be buying one of these lens cases for each lens that I buy in the future. Very nice!!

I use the BlackRapid Backpack Breathe Camera Strap with a Lowepro ProTactic Backpack. One side of the strap connects perfectly to the rings located on the front of the backpack's shoulder straps and the other side connects onto a loop on the bottom of the pack on the other side. The BlackRapid backpack strap allows me to have quick access to my camera. With the camera on the BlackRapid strap, I no longer need to bring my backpack to my side to remove and use my camera. I now use my backpack only to store and change lenses. My camera can now remain outside my backpack, located conveniently to my side at hip level. When I want to shoot, the camera slides smoothly up the camera strap to eye level. I like that the camera hangs upside-down when resting on the strap. It makes for an easy get to position when my camera is resting at my side. This strap is amazingly slick and fun to use. I have to admit that I find myself playing around with it, like I'm some sort of gunslinger, showing off how quick I can be on the draw. I appreciate the movable clips provided on the BlackRapid camera strap. The two clips are easily adjusted, allowing me to restrict the movement of the camera to stay in one place on the strap when I am planning not to shoot. All of the attachment parts seem well made and designed. I keep the bottom strap strapped to the bottom of my backpack and store the rest of the strap in a small pocket on my backpack when I am not using the strap. Then, all I have to do is remove the strap from the small backpack pocket and connect the free end to the opposite shoulder strap . . . and I'm ready to go! I wish the piece that that screws into the camera (Camera Socket Attachment) was designed so that the camera could sit flat when attached, and if the design of the socket attachment would permit a tripod or mono-pod to be screwed into it without having to unscrew it from the camera. I absolutely love the BlackRapid Backpack Breathe Camera Strap!

I haven't had cases for my smaller lenses before. I wasted time looking for caps and sometimes the lenses themselves in my backpack. Now each lens is relatively protected and the front and back caps are kept in the bag when the lens is used and right there to put back on the lens when I'm done with it.

These are great cases if you want a light case for a backpack or other application where size and weight must be kept to a minimum.

I've try many different cases and backpack and this is the best one by far! it's quiet heavy but it really protects your equipment from everithing. the lid laptop bag its really usefull and it allows you tu basicly take all your studio to a location. even the pelican case can become your table or applebox i strongly recomend this case

I store my lenses in cases and place them in a top loading backpack when I travel. This system has worked for me and I purchase new cases as needed. This case is well made and I will get many years of use from it. Highly recommend.

I have a number of Ruggard cases I have purchased from B&H.  Ruggard just makes an excellent product.  I had lusted after this backpack for some time, and finally just pulled the trigger.  I love my long telephoto lens, but just didnt use it much, as it was so hard and heavy to carry.  This backpack changed all that.  Now, I can carry my lens attached to my camera without wrapping it up in a towel, carrying it in a big backpack, and changing lenses in the field.  I would just get by with another lens, and not use my beautiful super telephoto.  As with all my Ruggard products, I am pleased with the quality and utility.  Even more importantly now, I am carrying my 200-500 Nikkor in the field, and it is CONVENIENT to carry and use.  Love the backpack.

I have yet to use it, but I have made the adjustments that I need to confirm that the backpack will work. The cases measurements are perfect for flying on Commercial aircraft, but you might check on smaller aircraft. The backpack fits inside the case nicely, I have Canon 5D MkIV with motor drive attached, and while slightly taller it fits without issues. This is not a full size backpack, but I think it might fit in the middle. I am looking forward to using the case as I feel that it will perform, it's one heck of a combination, Hard Case for protection and a Backpack.
