Backpack Camera Tethers

It tethers your camera to your computer/other device. That's what it does.

I actually bought two of these to use as a camera strap backup tether system. I have (without going into specifics) a competitor's product that I use for my camera strap, and their link system has proven unreliable in the area of safety for my kit; and they don't make a tether system. I found these Black Rapid phone tethers to be the perfect solution. My only real concern was what the actual failure load was, as it was not listed in the product description, and I am using it for purposes beyond what it was most likely designed for. Using the tether, I dropped tested 50 lbs. from a height of 5 feet and did not experience any strap or buckle failure. I figured that was beyond good enough for my purposes. I've been very happy with the peace of mind these Black Rapid tethers have provided, without impeding the ergonomics of my existing camera strap system.

This holds my two 31ft tethers, tether plate, leash, color passport, and data cable. I can see where everything is, and it feels very well made. I suspect this bag will last a long time

I like that the strap is modular so that you can go over the shoulder, or use it as a fanny pack hipbelt. The added tethers are a great addition for carrying a sweater or my tripod on the outside of my bag

I used this on a job two days after it arrived. I had a D810 with a 70-200mm and a D850 with a 24-70mm. I worked both cameras with ease and after 5 hours in the hot sun, I was still going strong without cramps in my neck and back. I chose this one over the slim because I like the padding on this one. I am only 5'4 and this harness was perfect. It comes with tethers but I used what I had because they have quick releases and these tethers do not. As another reviewer noted, you have to be careful as the cameras are swinging at your side but that is common sense, not a fault of the harness. Wish I got this a long time ago.

The Vortex caps fit perfectly on my old Celestron Ultima binoculars. The sturdy tethers will keep them from falling off.

I use the BlackRapid Backpack Breathe Camera Strap with a Lowepro ProTactic Backpack. One side of the strap connects perfectly to the rings located on the front of the backpack's shoulder straps and the other side connects onto a loop on the bottom of the pack on the other side. The BlackRapid backpack strap allows me to have quick access to my camera. With the camera on the BlackRapid strap, I no longer need to bring my backpack to my side to remove and use my camera. I now use my backpack only to store and change lenses. My camera can now remain outside my backpack, located conveniently to my side at hip level. When I want to shoot, the camera slides smoothly up the camera strap to eye level. I like that the camera hangs upside-down when resting on the strap. It makes for an easy get to position when my camera is resting at my side. This strap is amazingly slick and fun to use. I have to admit that I find myself playing around with it, like I'm some sort of gunslinger, showing off how quick I can be on the draw. I appreciate the movable clips provided on the BlackRapid camera strap. The two clips are easily adjusted, allowing me to restrict the movement of the camera to stay in one place on the strap when I am planning not to shoot. All of the attachment parts seem well made and designed. I keep the bottom strap strapped to the bottom of my backpack and store the rest of the strap in a small pocket on my backpack when I am not using the strap. Then, all I have to do is remove the strap from the small backpack pocket and connect the free end to the opposite shoulder strap . . . and I'm ready to go! I wish the piece that that screws into the camera (Camera Socket Attachment) was designed so that the camera could sit flat when attached, and if the design of the socket attachment would permit a tripod or mono-pod to be screwed into it without having to unscrew it from the camera. I absolutely love the BlackRapid Backpack Breathe Camera Strap!
