So... I bought this AFTER I needed it. Don't wait until it is too late ! Someone tripped on my tether cord and JERKED the cord from my DSLR's port. Now it will not make a firm connection and costs $375 to fix. Yes there is the argument to be made that tripping on the camera with the jerk-stopper could have caused more damage to camera and lens. Overall using a tether without a jerk-stopper will compromise the camera port. The weight of the cord and constant pressure from opposing angles as you move around will cause a loose connection over a short period of time.

This is actually my favorite backpack for 1 month trips. It's so clean, nice material and safe. I have nothing bad to say about it.

Works well with Jerk Stopper with Nikon D800E to Lightroom.  Slight delay with the Raw files.  My 2018 MacBookPro i9 works hard.

The Jerk Stopper really works well. After putting it on my camera and making the adjustments for the cable, it did exactly wihat it was made to do. It holds the cable in your camera. So I told my girlfriend I bought something called a Jerk Stopper and she said if only. Aside from that, this little riglet works very well in keeping both my micro USB connection and my AC cable from jerks, pulls and general gravity sag. I've got my E-M1 II with battery grip/AC port mounted as a webcam, and the stress relief this setup provides is, well, a relief. I love set-it-and-forget-it setups, and this definitely qualifies, securing the two cords together from the camera body's strap ring. The release clip between the loop and the cord clamp makes this a breeze to attach and work with.

I've never shot tethered before. I'm a believer! This jerk stopper gave me confidence that my laptop and camera were secure.

The perfect cable for my studio setup. Plenty of length to run from the camera to the computer and with the jerk stoppers attached, you don't worry about them pulling out accidentally.
