Backpacker Rates Outdoor Cameras

Small, light and sturdy for my Lumix cameras & phone. Even lighter than my Backpacker classic. Once I learned how to use it - the legs and column don't use traditional latches or collars - this became my go to travel pod.

Unlike most PTZ cameras, this unit will send out 59.94 and 29.97 frame rates. That means it will play well with finicky switchers like Blackmagic Design products. AND won't give you moving black lines across your screen that you get with 60, 50, 30 and other European standards as a result of your AC power frequency conflicts. Image looks good. Everything necessary is very adjustable. Great camera at half the price of it's closest competition.

I am sure there are cameras that shoot 50 MP and frames rates up to 24 fps but those are a few specs that I really don't want or need. The A7iii checks all my boxes. This is my first ever full frame camera. I can shoot a room in my house in total darkness and the photo comes out pretty clear and true to color. (Although its on a tripod and a 25 sec exposure). I always dreamed of owning a Sony camera of this caliber. Low light high ISO is of upmost importance to me. Sony FF cameras are legendary status.
