This is absolutely one of the best in terms of optical quality. I have owned many high-end lenses before, FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA Planar, FE 135mm f/1.8 GM, to name a few. None has reached the level of Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 50mm f/2. I am particularly amazed by how well corrected the axial (longitudinal) chromatic aberration is. Probably only APO-Lanthar 65mm and 110mm achieve better correction than it, but they are bigger macro lenses with longer focal lengths, so it is not really an apple-to-apple comparison. As a result of apochromatic design, the contrast is superb. Just wow. Take a look at comparison review by phillipreeve.net or Fred Miranda. You will see how good this lens is. If you can live with MF, this lens is a no-brainer. 5 |

I use this as a backup for my Mac using the Mac app Time Machine. It backup by itself (once plugged in) - I don't have to tell it to do so! 5 |

I used this to back up my old desktop computer. It was easy to install, and I performed the backup using Windows Backup manager. It's compact, lightweight, and easy to use. I haven't had to access the backup yet, but I took a look at the files and it seems to have been a success. I'm glad to have the peace of mind. 5 |
