I used this to back up my old desktop computer. It was easy to install, and I performed the backup using Windows Backup manager. It's compact, lightweight, and easy to use. I haven't had to access the backup yet, but I took a look at the files and it seems to have been a success. I'm glad to have the peace of mind. 5 |

Using this as a one of a couple of backup drives for video and photos for a Windows 11 environment. It works exactly as I expected it to with performance consistent with specifications in terms of transfer speeds and noise. I can't really speak to how well it will work under more intensive environments or over time, but I have had good experiences with WD drives lasting a long time. 5 |

This is a solid hard drive. I wanted a good 2TB hard drive to use as a backup drive in my Windows 7 home computer. Using hard drives larger than 2TB is painful with Window 7. So, I wanted to get as much storage as I could. B&H had a GREAT price on this drive. 5 |

I'm using it to backup data files. I plugged it into a USB 2.0 port on my Windows Vista computer, and the computer recognized it immediately. It's fast and quiet. No complaints at all. Didn't use,need, or want the WD software. The price was definitely right. 5 |

Using to digitize analog audio from lzx video synthesizer. Using with a windows 10 computer software is premiere pro. Works great! Was a little worried reading other reviews, there have been a couple instances when a reboot was necessary to recognize the hardware, but all in all, it works! 5 |
