The Mac mini is a replacement for our old 2011 Mac mini. We use it as a standalone server for a variety of jobs: DNS, DHCP, file server and a backup server. We have two OWC Thunderbays connected with 16TB each that we use for backup using Carbon Copy Cloner and for file sharing for all of our Macs and Linux machines. We could not be happier with this configuration. The previous mini worked continuously and flawlessly for over seven years. We expect no less from this one. 5 |

I purchased this 3TB USB hard drive to backup my new MAC. The drive arrived in 2 days with free shipping. The drive was packed well and was in great condition. The drive is formatted for Mac and worked as soon as it was plugged in. The readme file on the drive explains other details and tips. I used the Mac app Time Machine to backup the Hard drive.
