I just replaced a 23-year-old power strip for my home entertainment center. It has sustained who knows how many power surges in two decades and was acting up with one outlet partially burned out. I use APC products almost exclusively in my media editing bay so it was a no brainer to go with an APC Power Surge Protector for my home entertainment system. I've had all sorts of amps in my entertainment center, but nothing with this much power. I had assumed that I might have a hiss or other audio anomaly because my TV doesn't have the best audio output capability. I'm surprised to say, no hiss, no buzz, no nothing. Not even the fans are audible to me. Great purchase and well worth it. Be aware though, this does not have bass or treble controls, so you'll have to find a different piece of equipment if you don't like a flat response. Better TV's might give you those controls, but my LG does not. 5 |

I got it for my entertainment center and keep a computer and a multimedia streaming box energized in case of power outages. Where I live it's common to have power outages during Winter and sometimes they are just quick bursts that only last a couple minutes but are enough to damage more sensitive stuff. So, this is inexpensive insurance. 5 |
