Even though I am a convinced Kontakt user I got tempted by a lot of the UVI staff so I ordered the MachFive Sampler. The library that comes with it sounds great. Little latency and good implementation of a Library. Very impressed. 5 |

LOTS of articulations that play well with each other. The Synchron Player is also much easier to use than either Kontakt based sample libraries or Vienna's earlier Vienna Instruments based libraries. 5 |

This is a very powerful virtual sampler/synthesizer with a very fast and intuitive interface. I can drastically tweak my patches with ease, much more so than I can inside of Kontakt. I think MOTU is certainly making a statement with this, and their customer/tech support staff are really generous with their time. The built in granular IRCAM engine and SCALA file support is also something that I have been desiring for quite some time in an high-end, professional sampler and MF3 has them both! This is a very powerful piece of software. It even opens many of my Kontakt patches! The LUA scripting engine is also much more universal and intuitive than Kontakt's KSP language which also makes it more inviting for sound-library developers. This is most definitely my new 'go-to' device for creative music and sound composition and manipulation 5 |

There's a learning curve to mastering this good, solid field recorder, but not bad from the perspective of this user who wants good quality without requiring the user become a techie. 5 |

I have nothing bad to say about the H6. It's a fantastic recorder, and I love having the two different stereo mics. I find that I use the mid-side one the most, but both are really good. If I had to nit-pick it would be that the screen is a little sluggish and lo-rez, but it doesn't really matter. Also, I do with there was a record light on the top somewhere so that when I'm recording myself I could see it to be sure it's actually recording. When it is aimed at yourself you cannot see the screen at all. 5 |
