Baja Edge Of Control Save Game

I thought that I could save a few bucks by going with the 14-30mm Z lens, but the multiple distortions were a real problem for the interiors that I shoot. Way too much time (and frame edges) was lost in fixing every shot. So in switching, getting an extra f/stop is nice, but not the biggest reason for making this switch. While the 14-24mm f/2.8 is not a real rectilinear lens, it has better control of distortion and has greater edge to edge sharpness. That and other benefits explains why the 14-24mm is basically twice the price. If you're on the fence trying to decide which wide angle zoom you will ultimately buy, and you are a serious interior and landscapes photographer, don't waste your time just to save a few bucks.

I used it for edge lighting on dramatic portraits. The grid is on backorder. I know I will like the extra control when I ge that.

Works as advertised fit my baja b4 7 inch reflector perfectly with no problems.

I love strip softboxes and the control they offer. In my work, I use strips constantly for edge and rim lighting, and in conjunction with other strips for virtually shadowless headshot and beauty lighting. Install the grid and this narrow strip can be used to precisely place a highlight.

While this softbox does have the recessed edge, this grid helps to control your light even more. It attaches by the velcro around the outside and it comes with a little bag to put it in (although it is somewhat a snug fit).

This is the bees knees of TSE lenses. Everything about it is perfect, CA control, edge sharpness etc Highly recommended.

Every camera and lens manufacturer has quality control issues to some extent. Nikon definitely has more than most of the most of the other ones. The first copy I had was not what I expected, having problem with one side of the image being sharp while the other side was out of focus and the out of focus side shifted from the left at 16mm to the right at 80mm. I wanted this lens so bad I took the chance and get another one which I am writing this review about and this one is excellent. It is very well built, nice attention to details even with the lens hood as it clicks into position and will not accidentally comes off. This lens is tack sharp even wide open from edge to edge evenly at every focal lengths so I am very pleased with the lens and it definitely deserves the 5 star rating. However having so much difference from copy to copy is certainly very discouraging and Nikon should improve the quality control.

I love this one! Having the external battery and control is super helpful to get that extra edge on better audio.

Used the Pouch on a whale-watching trip in Baja California. Just got back, and glad to say got some great photos! In a small boat ( panga) over a three-day period, and all was well and dry with the Pouch.

I own 3 F-stop bags and this is my favorite for traveling. Just returned from a trip to Baja California and this was the bag I took. It held the lenses that I needed for the day. Great on the plane for the organization features that I miss on the Loka and Kashmir UL. The ICU's can be endlessly modified as needed. I'm a 73, 5'2, female and this will be my go to bag when traveling light.
