Band Director Specifies Expensive Instrument

As a band director, I use this mic to record the Bands and sometimes students in private lessons. The omni directional setting is great. 5 |

Wow, this works really well. I bought it for the band at our church. Makes it very easy for someone who plays an instrument and sings to have a decent in-ear monitor without spending a fortune. Very solid all-metal construction. Setup and use are very simple; the diagrams & labels silk-screened onto the top make it easy to see what should plug in where. As a nice additional touch, it doubles as a direct box for the instrument input. I highly recommend the optional MSC106 mic stand adapter if you're using this on stage. Only drawback is that you need a long cable or an extension for your ear monitor / headphones. If you mount this on a mic or music stand, you don't have a lot of room to move. We'll be buying a mix of these and the 1-channel PM50s to move our whole band to in-ear monitors. 5 |

We use a snake combining vocal mic, instrument mics, D.I.s, and monitor cables for each band member, running to their area of the stage from the stage digital mixer, and this product makes it easy to customize those changes and change out cables when necessary. 5 |

If anyone in your band wants more me control of their in-ear foldback for both their vocals and an instrument (or two instruments), then this is THE box for them! Ok so it costs more than the 2 channel competition, but this has the essential 3rd channel the others lack, plus an integral stereo DI box, so the total cost is much the same. What is really nice is the way it can be set for mono or stereo inputs on both the instrument channel and the main foldback. The cct diagram even contains instructions to convert the mic channel for line level inputs. A really useful box, and a much better buy in real terms than the competing products, for use by real musicians! 5 |

This is amazingly well built. Looks and acts like its an expensive scientific instrument. 5 |

I have used the L-20R on four jobs it does what it specifies it does, as far as I can determine. However if you are using the to record you MUST have an iPad. I had assumed the iPad app was a convenience .. it is a necessity. You cannot arm any track for recording without the iPad. Also you cannot trim the input to any track from the app .. you have to trim using the knobs on the box. So the two must be accessible. I gave it a good rating because it does what it says it does. 5 |

Everything for color accuracy is in this beautifully made instrument. It is expensive but well worth the money for solving color variants that are not readily apparent. 5 |

This is the instrument-mic standard that others are judged by. There are far more expensive mics - mics that A-list performers could use (and could afford), and that some studio engineers might prefer. But ordinary working and gigging musicians are perfectly well-served by this $ gem. 5 |

While this specifies that it's for a specific light it works on any Bowens mount light. Comes with the barndoors, a grid for narrowing the light as well as a way to mount gels onto the lights! Great pricing for all that you get, I own alien bees and their grid/barndoor/gel holders are way more expensive! 5 |
