Band Instruments In Color

In the last year, I've phased out using fluorescent instruments Kinos, Lowel Rifas, etc. because they're just too problematic for traveling. I flew to China with three Rifas and the big flo tubes were a royal pain. I looked at many manufacturer's LED solutions, but the tradeoffs were build quality vs. price. These Dracast LED instruments are in the sweet spot. Super sturdy aluminum bodies, nice adjustment mechanisms, and best of all, high-CRI LEDs that produce a flattering light at tungsten to daylight color temps. I shoot tons of corporate execs in their environments. So being able to quickly dial in the color temperature without pulling out a jelly roll is fantastic.

An artist cannot live without Magenta. I was unable to order this color from Canon directly. Band H came through!

Great for Vocal and Instruments!

I love this notebook, nicely bound, 3 different color page markers, elastic page marker and an elastic band closure. Plus plenty of pages which are of sufficient weight so ink doesn't bleed through.

When you are in a band you can never have too many patch cables. The color coding is great because you can follow your signal chain faster if there is a problem, even in low light.

These gels are so easy to use its amazing they weren't out years ago. Each gel has easily readable info printed on expected f-stop loss and color correction info so there is no guessing. I plan to primarily use these as mood/atmosphere enhancers to add a splash of color in the background etc. All the product literature shows a split rubber band and easily securing the gels. My package came with a wide rubber band that fits very snuggly on my speedlight and it is hard to expand enough to slip the gel under. I may try to split the band myself or just replace it altogether. That does not detract from the product.

Everything you need for either color correction or dramatic effect. Rubber band makes for easy switch out and carrying case keeps them neatly organized.

This is great since I am a one man band so to speak. You can control the on-off, color, and brightness for each light separately or together. Settings are still preserved when turning them off and/or power cycling which is nice. I wish I could save combinations and then simply scroll through scenes but that is just nitpicking since at this price I feel like I get everything I need.

When you need some color or need to light a certain area, this is it. Portability for a one man band is the incentive for there lights
