Excellent upgrade for my increased network bandwidth

This is the way to go if you want to expand the bandwidth of your home network without running ethernet cable, and IMO is far superior to powerline adapters. They are truly plug and play, and require no setup at all once correctly connected to your router. My home was built with coax running to each room. I bought the 2 pack of these adapters to get more bandwidth for media streaming to my TV, and I am getting close to the advertised gigabit speeds. Just make sure you also buy a MOCA POE filter or else your data will travel out of your house into the cable network ... they are cheap so buy one and save yourself the headache. Also, these are not compatible with satellite TV .. only cable.

I use these at tower sites to receive and re-transmit my point to point microwave network. They supply power to the tower top radios and provide all switching functions plus allow me to remotely view the actual bandwidth across each port in real time. Plus they bring local bandwidth into the towers local router. Another inexpensive but vital part in my network.

For those computers that only have spare PCI x1 slots. Works great, increases the network bandwidth. Recommend if possible getting a computer with at least a spare PCI x4 slot and the 10 Gbe version of this card !!!

Great device with ton of options. Gives you ability to see all the devices on your network and see what actually eating up the bandwidth. Also you are able to assign each device individually, change the names, and add corresponding icon to the device you are working on. As for the Threat Detection you can actually see from what parts of the world trying to gain access to your devices and block them from further damages. Overall this is a great device for home users and small businesses.

Setup is fast, and offers a very comprehensive admin web console for those inclined to doing advanced configuration. Trend Micro collects AIMesh logs so the free service does have a privacy impact.

This Access Point makes fully available my cable based network bandwidth. It is 5 times faster than my router based 802.11n radio, and 2 times faster than my more recent 802.11ac device.
