[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first projector investment and i wanted to future proof it with a laser. While others have mentioned the lack in contrast, I've enjoyed it and am very impressed with the color, which was honestly my primary consideration because i was worried about going from a tv and excited about hdr. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own LG projector PB60G is my first and still use till today as daily watching projector in 100” size screen in dark room. I really like this projector because it very small portable but still give good picture quality. However many technology change many of other media player devices now are capable of driving higher resolution beyond what my projector capable. Then i’m looking for upgrade my projector and what i’m looking for now is ULTRA SHORT THROW 4K LASER PROJECTOR. I search through many brand there are some cheap 4k projector but not liked or laser, some Chinese UST 4k laser project but I don’t like Android OS that come with it. Now LG has HU85LA that i’m looking for and still waiting for it’s coming out. So exciting about this projector. 5 |

The EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector is better than I expected. The clarity, color, video speed, sound quality and easy to setup. The projector is exactly what I have been looking to buy for years. I also purchased the carrying case and it is worth the money. I expected a cheap bag, this is very high quality. I have recommended this projector to my family and friends. I can wait for summer for outdoor movie night in the backyard. 5 |

if you are looking for a living room tv replacement, ust laser projector, with incredible design, then just get this! i unplugged my old projector and streaming box, plugged the arc hdmi into my receiver, and was viewing stunning images on a cream wall. i don’t see any rainbow effects, but didn’t on my old dlp either. laser? yes! i am in 2020 finally! vivid colors, needs lowering of contrast, alr screen can only make this better, i don’t need one - i love the lightness. remote is supremely well designed. some early bugs (auto update not working, and bluetooth audio maxes vol between videos). so much more to write, limited by website - it’s magical! 5 |

I needed old fashioned overhead projector transparencies for my laser printer. I intend to make printed circuit board iron on etching resists. When something becomes "obsolete" that seems to be an excuse for most office supply stores to price gouge. For less than the price of ten laser transparencies [that I could find any place else on line or off] I now fifty. 5 |

I replaced UHD51A with this laser UHZ55. It's very bright with vivid color. The image is very sharp unlike UHD51A with fussy edges. I also tried UHZ66 which has 4000 lumens and 500k:1 contrast. The image shows washed faded colors. I really like UHZ55 performance after fiddle with the settings. The image can be shifted horizontally and veridically with the combination of keystone and corner adjustments. The audio is not used since I have a receiver. 3D is the lovely feature of this projector using active shutter glasses. B&H shipped this projector to CA in two days. 5 |

This was a move up from an Epson 5030ub, so bulb based 1080p to native 4K laser is quite the jump. I’m projecting on a 135” budget 1.0 gain grey screen and the colors, contrast and brightness are spectacular. I sit about 14’ away and the detail and sharpness of the image is so much better than what I was used to. I love that Epson for what it is but this is in a different league. Having only had the projector for a couple of weeks, I’m still playing with different settings and testing various 4K media with my Oppo so still have to spend more time with this to really get to know it. The only con I’ve noticed so far is it can crush some black detail in difficult scenes but I may be able to tease out some image with some adjustment tweaks, not a deal breaker for me but worth mentioning. Also, my old projector was supposed to have a similar lumen rating and had about 900hr on the bulb but this is significantly brighter. Haven’t put the laser past 60 (50 is default) and won’t need to unless I am keeping some lights on in the room. Last thing is it is much quieter than the old Epson and is mounted right above my head so that is also a big plus, hope it stays this quiet. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this projector to replace an excellent Epson HD LCD projector. I was attracted to the laser light source and liked that this LG model had two separate colors which I thought would reduce the likelihood of rainbow patterns and indeed I haven't noticed these at all so far. The 4K is crisp and the picture is bright. HDR mode is very noticeable and I like the range of picture options. I use an Apple 4K TV and Xbox Series X so wasn't too interested in the onboard WebOS but its generally pretty responsive and intuitive so probably useful to have. The projected image does have a small thin light border and in super-widescreen 2.35:1 mode there are of course lighter bars at top and bottom; I'm not sure why with all the adaptive dimming technology they couldn't make it go really dark in those areas too, but projecting onto a wall with custom sprayed paint using MissisipiMan's formula in the AVSforum works really well with this projector and still looks better than the movie theater and is a big improvement over the Epson because of the 4K and laser technology, and is now useable in a brighter room. My advice is save your money on the expensive screen and splurge on this projector if you are thinking about it. I do think this technology is a generation ahead of the last and what's nice is it's also LG quality (I knew they made the best LCD IPS panels for computer displays as we have 6 of them, but now find they make really good projectors too) and really nice design and aesthetics. Switching on and off is fast and reliable and ambient noise seems quieter than anything else we have in the media room. We run a 30ft HDMI cable originally intended for 18Gbps through the ceiling and I was glad it didn't have to be replaced and meets all the XBox and Apple diagnostic tests at 4K/60Hz and 1080p/120Hz and works well with ARC sound too, even with a 3 year old receiver. 5 |
