Baron Receiver Link Digital Antenna

Used with Spectrum cable and with digital tv antenna. I did not know that my tv would turn the receiver on and off so when using the Spectrum issued remote it would turn off and back on. Just had to eliminate it from the remote.

Pros:  + 320 ft/100m range + Three shooting modes + RF signal allows me to move freely away from the camera and not worry about maintaining line-of-sight with the receiver as you would with an IR remote.  + Receiver can be used as a wired remote without power. + Receiver can be mounted in the hot shoe. + Removable/replaceable cable Cons: - Batteries in both transmitter and receiver are uncommon, so if they go dead during a shoot, I cant just go anywhere to get more. - Receiver has to dangle if the hot shoe is in use.  - Retractable antenna may bend or break if not properly cared for. (I personally have not had any problem with this but it is something to consider with an antenna of this type) I primarily use my Canon Rebel T5 for taking photos of my theatrical design work. A remote shutter release is a necessity for me to reduce shaking in low-light conditions (even on a tripod) and a wireless one was a bonus. This shutter release was exactly what I was looking for. I can set up my camera in the spot I want and take photos as I walk around the space to view my work from different angles. Even when Im sitting next to the camera, I use this remote to help reduce shaking that becomes more evident with slow shutter speeds.

I have tried several cheaper antenna's but was only getting 25% signal was able to get pics from link micro lte but antenna quit working . So i bought the spypoint long range and upon connection signal jumped to 90% . it is mounted on 18 ft pvc 1.5 in. camera is at 5 ft . pvc is tied to a metal fence Tpost. . have lit 10 battery is great last about six weeks at 1minute delay and sends each detection . at this time for me spypoint is the way to go value, affordability and service.

We're using a UniFi long range AP and UniFi AP Outdoor access point to wirelessly link two buildings 250' apart (I know that is beyond the published range but it worked though somewhat unreliably). Putting the AM-2G12-120 antenna on the Outdoor AP boosted both send and receive strength enough to make the link reliable. The UniFi AP Outdoors mounts into the back of the antenna and connects using the supplied cables, though the tiny radio is dwarfed by the AM-2G15-120 antenna.

I have this connected to a TP-Link 20-dBi panel antenna with a 90-degree N connector. Setup was fairly easy, although Google helped me find the online product support fora. The software is excellent---no-nonsense, powerful, versatile. Great product.

Needed an easy fix for my antenna and here it is! The placement within the receiver was a little tight... for big hands. But it worked out!

This receiver does a great job of playing my 60-80 records through its Phono channel at volumes close to what I remember back then when I was playing them in a band at the clubs. Clean and accurate. My only wish for the receiver would be: 1: Not have a proprietary FM antenna My reception is a little on the week side and I always used an amplified FM antenna to pull in a lot more stations from Philly, New York and Chicago. 2: Wish it have a PreAmp Out and Amp In connections so I could add my 10 band graphic equalizer to the system to further tailor the sound output more. But all and all for the price, this is a good system hub.

We were having reception problems using the built in antennas on our receiver until we attached this antenna. We went from having less than 50' of range to successfully testing at over 300'. Well worth the very reasonable cost.

I got my hands on the DJI transmitter and receiver and tested it for a few days. Really ran it's through it's paces and tried to lose signal. It performed very well. However, if I ever wanted to expand my wireless network by renting more receivers, I'd be screwed in my area cause no one has the DJI setup. Teradek's Bolt 6 has been a major upgrade from the previous generations of Teradeks I've used over the years and I really like their build quality. Very solid and the antenna protection is a very nice touch. As long as you aren't trying any funny business with the antenna and keep them propped vertical (unless you change to a few H antenna) it works really well. All in all, I DID obviously go with Teradek but they should be mindful as the DJI setup is great too. But I went with the Teradek because it's proven and expandable with rentals in my area. Picture uploaded is my transmitter on it's maiden voyage on a Sony FX3 build.
