I bought this after the servo base for my T300RS died. Since I already had pedals (two sets) and a wheel finding just the servo base was nice. This is also a nice upgrade from my original. My old T300RS had PS3 and PS4 modes while the new one has PC and PS4/PS5 modes. I have a PS5. It also doesn't hammer the stops nearly as hard when powering on.

This is a must accessory for the para 120, and lets you control the light from the dome softbox, without spilling everywhere.

I was looking for something that offered some stability and control for a Leica S camera attached to a bellows on a Novoflex rail. Even though this does not give me all of the various controls that my RRS BH55 head, it puts all of that weight and length onto the wide flat surface of this leveling base. I can see that there will be no lens drop while making large focus stacks. This is especially true, because of the 3/8 tripod screw that secures the rail to the rubber surface of the base using the arm that pulls the screw down into the base.

It must be DIRECT wired to the Infrared Remote Control Repeater base unit. This wall plate takes the place of the mini IR receiver that is included with the base unit. You will need to run a cable from the back side of this plate to the base unit. An Ethernet cable works fine as the connection instructions call for two twisted pair to be used. Installed as intended, it works flawlessly.

A delightful lantern giving me a great deal of control. From the 500W bulb to the removable bulb base allowing me to change wattages or even colors of the bulbs to the removable black wrap around flag - this lantern allows me to pick the brush and the palette when I am painting with light.

This panoramic head combined with the leveling base provide a compact method for pan and tilt control of the camera/lens combination. The ability to quickly rotate the QR clamp 90 for either camera base or lens foot clamping is particularly useful. There are separate knobs on the tilt pivot to control drag and lock but a single knob on the pan base to provide adjustable pan drag and locking. Note that this does not provide the same level of adjustable damping as a video head but it is compact, light and ideal for a traveling tripod. I have only been using the unit for a few days and so far I'm finding that regardless of adjustment the drag tends to vary slightly over the tilt range. However, I expect the tilt drag to smooth out over time and on that basis I'm giving it five stars.

On the outset, it looked a little small. I used this to some advantage, however. With one hand, I can span two trackerballs comfortably. The controls are tight, which I prefer over wimpier controls on , well, other control surfaces. You can get the Ripple working on one hand if you're inclined to use a mouse or Wacom with the other hand. Although some may disagree, the whole reason for the control surface is to do several things at once, so I can easily move my way through the interface to get very quick rough results. I nicknamed mine Fallout Boy because if you turn the base over, the trackerballs will roll out of it. Just be careful not to let them fall. The base itself is pretty hefty for size. The surrounding area near the trackers feels responsive, a little tight, which is the way I like to work. I mostly use my left hand on the interface, and the right hand assists and operates other functions. If they had just put light plastic inside, I think it might have been a bit disappointing. Equipment should feel professional, i.e., HEAVY. It's really easy to memorize with the muscle memory in your hands. I've never had a problem finding a setting or control on this simple small interface. Speaking of small, the Ripple comes with two velour bags- one for base, one for trackerballs. You can pack it and grab your laptop and get on the plane. Really simple. Tangent took the controls that matter most and mapped them on the ripple. You have RGB trackers and rotary dials for levels of each. You also have a reset button for tracker reset and also one for each rotary reset. The B button is to toggle on and off the grade. Then there's the mysterious A button. I have heard it will control something in particular, but the Tangent people have not figured out what that will be. Interesting. Right now, the system integrates with Speedgrade, Premiere Pro, daVinci Resolve. Assimilate & Nucoda are coming soon. Great Price!
