If you ever wanted Superman's powers, this comes mighty close. The optics are excellent -- sharp and bright. I can see clear across town, read traffic signs from miles away, see the crags of the moon and the rings of Saturn. The eyepiece that ships isn't the most powerful the aperture can resolve. I've ordered the zoom eyepiece from -- where else? -- B&H (best camera store in the world). Know that you will need a good tripod. Excellent for terrestrial and some astronomy. If you want purely astronomical, get a mount. If you are clumsy, consider other spotting scopes, as more rugged.

Holy SHARPNESS Batman! I wasn't in the market for this lens, but my old trusty EF16-35mm f/2.8 L original version finally bit the dust. CPS not longer services it as it no longer has parts for it.... so I had to get the upgrade and I'm glad I did. It's such an incredible leap in quality from the 1st generation.

My wife bought me the arc for my 60th birthday put the batman movie on and was absolutely blown away I hope to add 2 er 100s as rears. Fantastic sound bar and really easy to set up straight out of the box.

I really enjoy taking pictures on vacation. When we do car trips, I usually take my SLR with an assortment of lenses and accessories. For flights, I don't want to bring a lot of heavy gear and find this ZS100 to be a great alternative. The pictures are nearly of SLR quality and it has the flexibility to cover almost every shooting situation. All this in a really compact form factor. If you are willing to go a little bigger, then a Sony RX10 III or IV would be my next choice, but I wasn't willing to give up the small size and weight of this Panasonic.
