Battery Depleted Switch Controller

Very easy to use. One draw back is there is no on/off switch but it says battery should last 3 yrs. I have used this Controller to do time-lapse photos, long exposure and even helped with my pole photography. 5 |

Small and very lightweight. Easy to calibrate, but sometimes have to remove battery to re-calibrate. The thin controller that goes with is brilliant. And on/off switch would help. It’s tricky to figure out to push the battery to the side. 5 |

The switch was quickly adopted by the controller and was up and running in a few minutes. 5 |

Dustin Abbott on YouTube said this was on sale and I jumped on the offer purely based off the facts that it basically doubles my EOS RP’s battery life and it gave my pinky a home to grip on, greatly reducing the lens heavy nature of RF glass. As an added bonus, the Vello BG-C18 has a shutter button for vertically oriented shots; the only thing is that you’ve gotta connect a cord from the grip to the remote shutter input on the EOS RP and flip the grips switch to “on”. To me, that’s not a big deal at all. I noticed while filming myself for over an hour’s worth of footage that the grip depleted both batteries evenly. I have two Canon brand LP-e17 batteries in this grip. When I took off the grip and just put in each battery one at a time into the camera, both had the biggest section of the battery indicator depleted. I haven’t calculated how many shots would it take to deplete both batteries, but I have a feeling I shouldn’t have a problem with my casual enthusiast level of shooting. Overall, this is definitely better than paying for Canon’s cute colored grip for almost double the price! 5 |

Have used this battery pack over a few charge; use until near depleted and recharge cycles, and have found it to be as good as the original battery shipped with my X-T2. Mirrorless cameras put a high drain on the batteries since their rear display, imaging sensor and eye-level display together consume lots of power. Since this is the case, I want to carry two batteries. Personally, I rather pay the premium price for a manufacturer battery and the quality control that comes with it. This battery is worth the price. However, that's just my opinion, as always YMMV. 5 |

This is a nice compact battery booster. It will start most vehicles that haven't completed depleted their battery. My old start boost device had basically died. It wouldn't hold a charge despite being plugged in. This new booster works perfectly. 5 |

In early use of 100 test shots, here is what I have observed. If anything changes I will repost: 1) No it is not magnesium alloy... but the plastic appears durable 2) For a non-EOM product, it fits perfectly to the D850 3) All buttons tested on the grip function as intended 4) Love the ability to take a vertical shot in a more natural position minimizing body fatigue and camera shake 5) Did it seamlessly transfer from the depleted camera body battery to the Vello battery grip? SUCCESS! This was a significant concern as reviews sited that you needed to disengage the grip, reattach, and the battery would engage. I purposely had a very low battery in camera, and once depleted, it transferred seamlessly. Love double the battery life-- use live view exclusively in Landscape Photography. Here are battery transfer tips that I followed from the instructions: In the D850 Set up Menu A) Battery Type: indicate FR6 Lithium for your EN-EL15a B) Battery Order: Indicate Use camera battery first. Because I shoot primary landscape and portraits, 9 frames per/sec was not a functional requirement and not tested here. As long as the product continues to perform as is, at 25% the cost of the OEM product, its a solid investment. 5 |

Love the fact depending on the light you have to be able to charge in the unit, or put a fresh battery in and charge the depleted battery with micro usb. I definitely recomend any light that excepts the zx350 batteries especially if you can also charge the battery while still in the unit. 5 |

Given the length of time it takes to charge up a fully depleted DMW-BLK22 battery, approximately 75 minutes, this is pretty much a necessity unless you want to leave your camera plugged into an AC outlet to recharge your batteries. When I travel at the end of the day, I'll typically recharge my depleted batteries in the hotel room, while I am out doing either night street photography or just enjoying the local sights. Having a separate battery charger just makes so much more sense. 5 |

I bought this with the OMD EM1 because I always want a spare battery. It takes a couple hours to go from near depleted to full, but it has been lasting in camera better than I expected. Don't leave home without it... 5 |
