Battery For Vivitar Digital Camera

Battery for digital camera. Always a must to have a backup battery for field trips. This one is a charm.

I bought this to have a back up Battery for my Sennheiser AVX-MKE2 SET Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System (1.9 GHz). It is the battery with the pink label on it in the photo. I have not had to use it as of yet, because the one that came in the package has worked great so far, but this extra battery is for long days shooting.

I own a D7000 with the Nikon Grip, D7100 with a Vivitar grip and I just purchased a D7200 with the Vello Grip. The Vello grip is every bit as good as the Nikon grip is on my D7K. The Vivitar grip on my D71K is total junk. It fits very loose and the D71K does not not allow the use of battery selection. The Vivitar grip on my D72K does not see the second battery at all. In fact nothing works. So right after I post the review, I will be ordering a second Vello grip for my D71K.

I've used various off brand battery grips. A few Vello and a Vivitar. I had replaced two of the Vello brand. Once by sending in for repairs and the second buying a new one. The Vivitar didn't last more than a few hours before failing. Being a professional photographer it's more important to have gear that works 100% of the time rather than saving a couple hundred dollars. I should have saved myself time and money years ago and just paid up front for this.

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

This converter allows me to use my Vivitar macro lens on my new Nikon D7100 camera. I also have many filters for my macro lens so they now work with the Nikon D7100!!!

Lumix is the best brand of digital cameras so I would not use anything but the best battery in them.

I like the digital readout of how much battery is left/charged in percentages. It works as described and is nice to have rather than charge in camera.

My photography is almost entirely still shots. When using my digital camera, I have never run out of film, just battery power. A fresh battery is quickly exchanged, and I can continue shooting.
