Nicely made connector. The screw does indeed come out, it is held in place by a rubber washer, so may not seem so. I use it to connect two Joby Gorilla arms to get a bit more height for my light when doing macro photography.

Product: Absolutely love this grip! Adds so much more battery life and even more stability on hand held shots. Especially paired with 24-70 GM. Makes the weight worthy of great hand held motion. Was even able to balance that set up with the grip attached on my Ronin S! Pros: BATTERY LIFE of course. More hand friendly. Feels more secure than without it. Cons: honestly, can’t really think of any at the moment. It just provides all the needs for both of Video and photo work. I did a full 10 hour event without having to replace any batteries. 4K video and raw photography. Coming from the a6500 to an a7iii. It was amazing!

I put in the battery and held the Power Pack in my hand and then thought, wow, if only Nikon had their stuff together and released the D800 to all the unfulfilled preorders, I'd actually be using this product! Great product, but not much to say other than it is collecting dust at the moment. Shame on Nikon for such a botched product release!

I had read the reviews on the a7Riii and noted the comments on the ergonomics of the grip. I was not surprised when I first held the camera that my little finger dangled in space. I had heeded the comments, bought the battery grip and added it immediately to my camera purchase. Yes, it adds bulk and weight to an otherwise svelte camera. The added sq. inches for my hand is much welcomed! It adds to hand held stability. The second battery is an added benefit. Recommend that if you buy this that you buy two spare batteries. That way you can swap and go! If you're into the looks and status kind of thing-this combination with a large lens will make you the envy of the camera boys!

This accessory is helpful in making hand held verticle images. It also is helpful in adding an additional battery to extend shooting. I generally buy grips for all of my cameras. This is probably the best fitting one I have. There are no cons.

This can be affixed to the hot shoe of a camera for some fill-in light, hand held or used with a cell phone. Make sure to purchase the PAWA compact charger f/sony NP-f550 battery and a Watson NP-975 battery pack f/Sony WANPF975/B-4206 so that you can enjoy using this little light.
