The M1 chip rocks! For my use, this chip is a delight to work with. I was almost using my iPad Pro more than Mac due to the great battery life and power over my 2016 MacBook Pro. I normally do some photo editing, normal content consumptions, emails etc, and occasional video editing. My 2016 MacBook Pro used to use 50%+ battery within an hour or two. This M1 Macbook goes on and on and on ... . In addition to battery, the power the M1 gives - I absolutely do not need anything more at this point. There are faster versions coming in 2021 and 2022, but I am really glad I bought this. The battery has not seen below 79% in last 3-4 weeks. Everything runs butter smooth. Native apps are super performance. The intel apps I use work perfect with Rosetta as described by Apple. The new magic keyboard is superb. Makes the feel lot more premium than the butterfly keyboard on 2016 MacBook Pro. Glad they kept the Touch Bar . I like it a lot. What more do I wish for - probably 120 Hz or a Mini LED display and that would do it for my checkboxes. 5 |

I upgraded from a 2016 MacBook Pro, so it was time. Photography is my full-time job using PhotoMechanic, Lightroom, Photoshop primarily. A little video here and there with Final Cut Pro. I am beyond happy with the performance and battery life so far. I shoot and submit to wire services so speed is key and this will help. 5 |

I have a 2016 MacBook Pro. With the 1 USB-C cable provided with the monitor, I'm able to send the video and audio signal to the monitor, use the monitor's USB hub, and charge my MacBook, all through the 1 cable. I selected the preset "text mode" on the monitor, since I'm a software engineer that looks at text all day. It's very crisp and easy on the eyes. I have it vesa mounted to my desk. So far, I've had no issues with this monitor. I'm very impressed! 5 |
