I have been shooting with my a7II since 2017. It has been used in the mountains, caves, rivers and all images have been of really good quality. I have been able to shoot handheld in the caves in Arkansas I was impressed with the photos. The camera is light and with the addition of the battery grip fits my hands comfortably. Even with my Sony 70/200 f4 lense you can shot off hand without a problem. With it being a full frame body, I can get the photos that I want in the size I want. In Cades Cove outside of Gatlinburg, TN, I was able to catch very good shots of a Black Bear juvenile running in front of our Jeep. This opportunity came at a seconds notice from my wife and our friend in the back seat shouting "Bear, Bear:, so I had to grab my camera, lean out the window and shoot about 5 frames of this juvenile.

I have been using a celestron evolution 8 telescope with a separate wedge since 3 years. Ive had two main issues with that scope.  Firstly its heavy and bulky. together with wedge, it weights 27 kgs (60 lbs). I could bear the weight first few weeks but later on, when the first excitement is gone, the scope became a house furniture which I used few times a year for taking photos of moon through open windows. Second, it has field curvature up to a degree I could not bear with when I take lunar photos. If I focus the center of the moon, the edges would be blurry and vice versa. With this nexstar 4se, both problems are gone.  I lost a bit of aperture but the moon, the sun and few planets are so bright that a little dimming is not a big issue for me. Besides, contrast of this maksutov scope is better than my SCT. Field curvature is also a lot less. I can almost focus clearly on all disc of moon so my lunar photos look better. Weight is only 10kg (22 lbs) with powerbank and accessories. its a grab and go scope. It comes with me when I go camping. I will sell my 8 SCT. So happy so far

I bought this to extend the the operation of my Nikon camera in a camera trap I'm building to get bear photos here in Florida. This works perfectly for that.

The radios are easy to use & work great on the creek.
