If you want to inprove the sound on DSLR movies this is unbelieveable: as a preamp or as a separate sound track. Can's beat it.

This is a really good. Prime lens, that I’ve only used at night. It’s good for deep space photography. You can’t beat the price. Clarity is very good.

Hard to beat a f/1.4 prime lens at this price, especially when it looks this good. I love the Sigmas lenses and this one is no different. Great bokeh when shooting handheld. If you're a content creator, this is a great lens.

Of course, this could never beat a prime lens, but for versatility, it's great. It's light, works smoothly, and reasonably sharp. It works well for my intended use - hiking trails in the heavily forested Northeast.

As anyone with experience with Fuji's lenses knows, they make some really fantastic lenses. I did not think it would be possible for them to beat the 23mm prime or the 35mm prime, but here is the proof: this 16mm prime may be the very best (certainly within the top two or three) of all the Fuji lenses. This thing is sharp, sharp, sharp, and focus almost instantaneously. It also has outstanding build quality and is weather resistant (although the aperture ring turns too easily: come on, Fuji, you need to address this simple issue on ALL your lenses), albeit without anti-shake technology. I have pretty extensive experience with most all the Fuji lenses, and I have to say that this is likely going to be on my short list for the most important lens to use with the Fuji X system. (I shoot with the X-T1 camera.) If you can get it when on sale, it's technically a steal, because it really is the equivalent in many ways of much more expensive Canon and Nikon lenses. A truly impressive lens on nearly any metric.

I've had it hooked up about 3 weeks now. It sounds great. For the price I don't think it can be beat. Movies or music doesn't matter. Plenty of adjustments to taylor the sound to your liking.
