Behringer Bass Amp

I have used Behringer in the past! This amp is 3 channel with 3rd channel having an XLR input! It is solid state which is instant on but especially with the graphic equalizer, can approach the tube amp presence! I have used it as a great monitor amp and with 90 watts, it stands alone for most of my uses!

Used this to connect the headphone output (1/8) of an audio interface to the input of a Behringer headphone amp (1/4). Works fine.

I was using the Behringer PowerPlay Pro 4 channel headphone amp but it had a hum in it. Even lifting the ground did't help. I had used Art equipment before and was very pleased with their quality and price so I bought the rackmount HeadAmp6. It is extremely quiet. This is a great amp.

Using this for bass amp. Have an Ampeg SVT Pro pre-amp running into it. Using it bridged.

Used once for powering guitar amp, powered monitor, pedal board, and bass amp on stage. Performed well and kept the hums at bay. Long cord legnth and good plug access.

I was looking for a micro amp to mix our stage monitor signal with my mic or guitar/bass -- so I could add a bit more of me in my headphones. This works great. Has both sizes of headphone jacks, a choice of mono or stereo, separate monitor and mic/instrument volume controls, and XLR in and thru for live mixing. Also has a ground lift, which can be a difference-maker when you have house line noise. I use it mostly for adding my bass to the monitor mix. Small enough to fit on my pedal board, so it just comes along with me all the time now. The only caveat: The XLR inputs are low-Z, so you'll need a DI box to connect instruments. However, that is easy to work around considering all the other benefits.

I tested the Rotel Tribute combo(amp&CD) vs Audiolab 6000 (amp&CD) combo. No doubt the Audiolab wins in terms of sound, I don't know all the fancy words to use in this comparison but in my simple language explanation its like this. The Audiolab sound is thicker fuller darker and most of all it has a 3D like feeling to the sound, by the Rotel it seams like the sound is flat on the wall in front of me, by the Audiolab the sound is away from the wall there is air between the instrument and the wall, so its more real experience. The bass is interesting because by the Rotel I can hear a bigger bass, but its nice in the beginning, later I felt its blocking some sound of the other instruments, in other words, its not as balanced the bass with the other sounds. By Audiolab the bass is not sticking out from the rest and I think its more tighter. so its either because the bass is not so boomy or because all the other sounds are punching out same strong as the bass. Anyway, its more pleasing to listen to because of that. from the other hand the Rotel has also a very special sound very detailed, another benefit it has tone controls(and a general sound booster), you can adjust the bass and the treble which makes it very convenient and takes away the problem mentioned above because u can boost the treble and or lower the bass. Still it doesn't give the 3D sound as the Audiolab. one more pro to the Audiolab CDT, you can make fast fwd the song by pressing long the go to next song button, you can NOT do it by the Rotel CD player, only with the Remote controller(very embarrassing). From the other hand a con to the Audiolab CDT, when you press the pause button, if you leave it more than a few minutes it goes back to beginning of the CD (I didn't find any setting to change that - very embarrassing).

This is just the budget mic I was looking for to pair with a sm57 when mic'ing my guitar amp. The bass response really fattens up the recorded tone when paired with the mid forward sm57. Add an AT2020 for as a room mic for top end and ambience and you can record some pretty solid guitar tracks.
