Belkin Powerhouse Charge Dock For Apple Watch Parts

When I upgraded to my iphone 7, I had to use a dock to listen to music and charge at the same time. The dock did not work with a couole of the cases I tried, and I prefer to have my phone in the landscape position at night when going to sleep listening to tunes. Enter the Belkin Rockstar. There are some shoddy imitations, but Belkin works and I did not want to trust my iPhone power to an unknown. I have come to find that Belkin products are top quality- they just plain work!

I use my phone a lot throughout the day during my work hours and this Wireless Charger is the best for me to keep my phone alive all day long. I can also charge my Apple Watch while working. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been looking recently for a dock to replace the multiple cables in my nightstand to charge my iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods, but not many options that support MagSafe. This is a solid dock. Heavy metal, not cheapo plastic, so it won't get knocked over when I wake up and try to hit the snooze button. This dock could have easily come in two pieces to save on packaging, but most likely it would have required additional connections to supply power and could have made the support not as sturdy as it is. Because of this, the package is BIG. And unfortunately, the box is too thin - the unit I received was well packaged but it still was crushed. With a non MagSafe thin case, iPhone stays in place but could easily come loose. Without the case or with a MagSafe case, it holds pretty well. Watch holder is a bit loose for my taste. Also, could not wake the Watch by tapping on the desk as I can with Apple's charger.

Apple’s very odd decision not to include a charging brick for the newer iPhones is ‘answered’ by this product from Belkin. The MagSafe Duo Charger is also a great product ... except for the fact that it too does not come with a charging brick. So, my iPhone 12 Pro and my Apple Watch can be charged while the new cable is plugged into a USB-C or Thunderbolt port ‘when’ ... such port is powered. Put it into the iMac or MacBook on the desk except ... the Mac goes to sleep and poof, you wake up with no charge on either device. I suppose you could leave the Mac on all the time but really? This product does the trick. Low charge for overnight, fast for when you need fast. Dumb decision by Apple, brilliant workaround by Belkin.

I'm not a heavy Apple Pencil user but I also had the first generation. This is a good improvement, and I really like the ability to dock and charge it on the new iPad tablets.
