You will definitely need the Rockstar adapter if you have a phone without a headphone jack! Have you ever wanted listen to your music and charge your phone at the same time? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received my 3.5mm Audio + Charge RockStar (full disclosure) through the Belkin's Fans First program. My job requires a lot of travel and use of my iPhone 7 and occasionally I have had to stop using my sound cancelling ear buds so I could charge and listen. I tried a charging adapter that supposedly would let you listen, but the iPhone popped up a message that it couldn't support this equipment, so I sent it back. (always read the reviews before ordering!!) Anyway, I finally got a chance to work and use the RockStar. The short lead from the connector to the RockStar is extra heavy, with strain relief at the connection points. I have no concerns that it will accrue wear and tear over time, these is a major stress point of the adaptor. The rest of the unit is well designed and appears to be built of materials that can take mobile office use. I use high-end noise cancelling earphones and the controls on the cord, (volume, pause, hang up, skip track, sound cancel) work just like they do without the RockStar inline.

Now you can have your headphones and external battery/power plugged-in at the same time. The dongle gets a bit long if you are also using a 3.5 adapter dongle on your headphones. Would be nice if this were designed as a “T” and you could connect power/headphones along the bottom of your phone.

They come with 3 sized of foam ear cushions and provide a perfect fit in your ears. These headphones are extremely comfortable to ware, even for prolong periods. The sound is exceptional, great range, with clear highs and booming lows. The cord has a mike with + and - buttons for volume and the flat cord prevents tangles.
