Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock Mini Station

I use this dock station to connect to Apple Mini-2013 with Thunderbolt 2 port. The Apple Thunderbolt 3 - 2 adapter will be required. I also connect the main Bootable external SSD disk to this Dock station USB-C Gen 2 port. The read/write speed is better than the Mini USB 3.0 port. It is small enough to place on the computer table everywhere. It has a smart sleep mode when the Mini went to sleep mode. I will recommend this dock station for older or newest model type of Apple laptops or desktops for additional Thunderbolt/External display/USB port/Audio connection usage. It fits for Apple computers have (Thunderbolt/Thunderbolt 2 - with Apple Adapter)/Thunderbolt 3 port. I am very happy with this NEW dock station.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Belkin - Pro Thunderbolt 4 Dock is a great addition to the family office it has made a quick place to charge and made it faster with our file sharing of course it took my son coming home to hook it all up but once he got it plugged in and going I can't complain it works like a dream.

Works perfectly for me. I use it in conjunction with a Belkin Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock to give me a docking solution for my MacBook Air that gets me access to an external keyboard and mouse, ethernet, sound and from the dock to this wee beastie via Thunderbolt and one USB for dual displays. Easy and quick to set up (I plugged it all in and it went). I've not tried it for video (apart from a few YouTube clips that worked fine), so can't confirm or deny those reports. The two displays show up as one big display on the MacBook, which is less than perfect but entirely manageable. Has worked flawlessly for the last couple of weeks since it arrived.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Belkin Pro Thunderbolt 4 Dock is a great, reliable product. We use it to connect my laptop to my monitor quickly and easily, and to also charge the device. A little pricey for the function, but gets the job done.

For thunderbolt 4, it works extremely well. It surprisingly did not work as well over USB-C 3.2 on my Linux machine running PopOS as well as the stardock USB-C dock did which was surprising to me (but maybe it shouldn't have been?) For best performance, you do want to go to their support website and install the kernel extensions and the docking manager. You may need to reboot the Mac if it's your first time connecting it. Other than that, it works exactly like you would expect it to. I used the built in display port and then an HDMI to usb-c cable that feeds into one of the thunderbolt 4 ports. On my M1 16 inch MacBook Pro, it handles both displays (and it's own built in screen if opened) exactly like you would expect it to. However, my M1 Mac mini would only ever output my first display via DP and ignored the hdmi to usb-c input. For that, I had to use the dedicated HDMI port on the mini and then it worked. Take that for what you will but it seems to have nothing to do with Caldigit (and no the DisplayLink Manager didn't fix anything either for the Mac mini despite the aforementioned stardock usb-c only dock being able to do 2 with the software running, I think it's a thunderbolt 4/M1 thing though). The construction is rock solid, the metal feels nice and it's actually pretty small for as many ports are packed into this thing. I've been trying to get it since March and it was well worth the wait

Got this to connect my XPS 13 from 2016/2017 to my 27" thunderbolt Apple monitor. It worked straight out of the box. However I have a Dell TB16 dock as well. Tried using that as well. So the dock's usb-c connector goes into the XPS, and the Startech adapter goes from the dock to the Thunderbolt monitor. That didn't work: I needed to update the BIOS, Thunderbolt firmware, thunderbolt driver, and installed I believe the latest thunderbolt application from the Intel website. Everything works now, even the audio and usb ports on the monitor. (facetime camera doesn't work, since it can't find a driver). All in all good buy, but I can't connect my 2019 macbook Pro to my thunderbolt monitor with the startech adapter. Monitor does not activate. Seems to only work with Windows machines.

I'm suing the Thunderbolt Dock as additional storage space to my existing Thunderbolt Lacie drives, I already had spare hard drives to use in the dock, all daisychained together ensures high speed transfer rates. The RocketStor Thunderbolt Dock was very easy to install & use on my Mac, solid construction that will last. Regarding design faults with this dock, they should have installed a double Thunderbolt port on the unit, for daisychaining devices, & the dock should be supplied with a Thunderbolt cable as standard.

Have had it for 2 weeks and glad I purchased this dock. Using the Sonnet Echo 11 Thunderbolt 4 Dock to expand my connectivity with a Macbook Pro. Have not used the ports for any displays, only external hard drives and speakers. Really plug and play.

You will want this. I've used cheap adapters in the past had nothing but problems with them. This dock station is the way to go
