Benq G1 Digital Camera

The wait to get the BenQ PD3420Q was definitely worth it! I am a professional photographer and have taught digital photography for many years now and this monitor offers all the features I have been looking for. The 34 monitor offers a sweeping view for photos and video and the sRGB colors are beyond belief. Both Lightroom CC and Photoshop just come alive with consistent color and tone. The monitor comes with all the cables you need to get going. In my case HDMI from my Max Mini M-1 into the BenQ with ease. The Hotkey Puck is a bonus to rapidly get to the right monitor settings depending on the project you are working on. The BenQ instructionaL CD was a surprise as it came with the monitor. However all the instructions for this monitor are on the BenQ website that a designer will need. Yes, my workstation is complete and fast now thanks to B&H and BenQ!

I use this for close-up photos where other flashes blow-out the photo. I have the new Canon G1 X and have not been able to get the adapter yet so I have used this off camera and achieved nice shadow results of shells and rock collections from travels. Plan to use with other small items and flowers come spring, and perhaps portraits. While results have been good, it is a huge & flash and cumbersome for my purposes and on my smallish camera. It will help some when the adapter arrives so I can actually mount it to the camera lens area.

Love the grain for portraits, not so good for landscapes in my 35mm camera. (I used a Contax G1 with 16, 45, and 90).

I had the G1 and it was a great camera, but this one takes it to new heights and is really impressive in its performance, expands its use, and capabilities. A great update to this camera. Great for action shots and studio work. Now, I am tempted to rig it for other endeavors. Best budget cinema camera on the market right now. It meets all my needs and then some.

As a photographer, I depend on having the very best equipment throughout my entire workflow. What’s the point of using a top-notch camera when the files are treated on a monitor with big color issues? The BenQ SW321C is far from a cheap monitor and, as of writing this, it will set you back about $2,000. That being said, it’s impossible to find an equally good alternative anywhere close to this price. Features such as the Advanced Reflectionless Technology, Uniformity Technology, Paper Color Sync and Hardware Calibration make the SW321C one of the absolute best monitors for photographers and videographers. I highly recommend this monitor for anyone who’s serious about their photography, spends time in post-processing and ultimately enjoys seeing their images printed. If you already have quality camera gear, you should invest in a quality monitor. It’s as simple as that. If you don’t spend much time in post-processing and don’t worry too much about the outcome of your images, this is not a monitor for you. You’ll be perfectly fine with a generic monitor (ideally calibrated) but be aware of the limitations that follow. I’ve already fallen in love with the BenQ SW321C and for the first time in a while, I’m really enjoying post-processing again. It’s a dream to work on such a quality monitor and to know that what I see on the screen is exactly what I’ll see on paper.

I replaced an old iMac with a Mac Pro and now have a BenQ screen without a camera. I didn't know how bad the iMac camera was until I used this Logitech Webcam. My color and exposure are perfect. I no longer look overexposed or red :) The sound must be good too since no one on Zoom calls is complaining about not hearing me.

Use it for a lavalier mic + antennas for Sennheiser G1 wirless system.
