Needed a headphone amp for home studio. This is the only one on the market that handles every impedance from 8 to 1000 ohms-- critical if one is mixing headphone types. Most phones today are 50 to 60 ohm... too low for other amps. Plenty of output channels too. 5 |

Ever since I received it from B&H I've put aside my rather more pricey headphone and have been using the SMH-1000 BECAUSE IT IS THAT MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE. I spend quite a few hours daily in my home studio. The lightness, comfort of earpads, and cables make for an efficient tool. And I bought it on one of the great daily deals from B&H. 5 |

Best headphone purchase of my life. I read all of the reviews before buying: the earpieces too shallow, the grip too tight, the soundstage a little confined, not perfectly neutral, etc, etc. I disagree. Easily the most comfortable headphones I have ever put on. The sound is so present I have before been startled because it sounded like someone talking was behind me. As though you are listening to monitor speakers. So comfortable they don't shift around and I forget I'm wearing them even for 9 hours a day at work. They look brand new six months after I bought them. I have never heard or worn better, and I'm back at AKG to find more of the same. 5 |

Best set of Mix cans I have used at this price point. One caveat is the headphone cups do not spin a full 180 degrees. Not an issue for anybody but a DJ. 5 |
