Best 2.5 Hard Disk External Enclosure

Lightweight, good padding, right size for 2.5 external drive enclosure and cables.

I had an old 2.5 hard drive that I had salvaged out of a failed SeaGate enclosure. The problem with this hard drive was that it was an odd size, 15mm tall, so I was extremely limited in my choices for enclosures, and this seemed to be one of the only ones that could accommodate it. This little enclosure is great. It's constructed fully out of aluminum, no flimsy plasticky parts in here. Very easy to install, hard drive fits perfectly, and sits very secure inside the enclosure. I don't feel worried picking the thing up, throwing it into a bag and taking it place to place. When it's all set up I get very fast read and write speeds as promised, limited only by your hard drive RPM or your SSD rating.

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital.

Best NVME you can buy! I purchased this for my PS5. I currently use in an external NVME enclosure connected to my PS5. I understand this NVME is overkill for an external enclosure, but I hope Sony will allow this to be used in the PS5 internal NVME slot. Currently, there no guarantee this will happen.

I have few external 2.5 hard drives, but this one is the best. It's look and design is superb and the price is fair. It is not USB3 but it doesn't matter since my MacBook Pro is not USB3 compatible (so are other Macs), so why pay the extra money for something I do not need. Also I bought this hard drive to my Time Machine backups, so I don't need the fire-wire (extra money) hard drive.

This fits my external 2.5 USB 3.0 SSD hard drive really well and gives it good protection and has a place to store the cable. Good value for money and the usual great quality I have come to expect from items sold by B&H.

I purchased Sabrent 2.5 SATA to USB 3.0 Tool-Free External Hard Drive Enclosure to use my old SATA SSD as external drive. It works great! The case is sturdy and well-made. The USB cable included is also long and high-quality. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

This is my third Storejet enclosure. It's an easy way to take a hard drive from a laptop destined for recycling and repurposing the drive as an external USB drive.

Used this drive in an Avastor HDX Pro external Hard Drive Enclosure. It was easy to install and format and has worked very well for the past three weeks at least. Am currently using it for video files with no issues.
