Best 29 Ultrawide Gaming Monitor

Best $29 I've ever spent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a 29" curved monitor first and it was starting to do things monitors do when they have had enough of life, so I went shopping for a new one. First I tried an LG Ultrawide flat but ended up donating it to my husband for gaming as I really missed the curve and the ease of peripheral vision in gaming. Then I started working from home, and while most of my colleages have 2 or 3 monitors scattered around their workspace, I have 1, simplifying my life. It's kinda big, I don't recommend it for just any space, I affectionately refer to it as my surfboard, but it's a great monitor and I'm glad I went for it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently, I got the opportunity to test out the LG 29” UltraWide FHD HDR FreeSync Monitor with USB Type C. First off, I didn’t know how much a better monitor experience could give and I got to say this blew my expectations away. It was much bigger than I expected and now it's harder for me to use a smaller screen with this one spanning 29 inches. My current monitor is at 15 inches and yet this one feels like it's three times the size. Even having two screens side by side doesn’t compare. The full setup took less than 10 minutes before having it connected and exploring the features. So far I’ve thrown gaming, window multitasking, videos/movies, and 3D CAD design. Each one performed great and using the full real estate of the screen improved each area. For example, I found myself more immersed in my gaming/video experience than before. Also, I love simplistic/modern design with near edge to edge screen and subtle red accent color on the base. Now if only I can work solely from home on my new and vastly improved setup. The main things I was looking out for when upgrading to a 32:9 was Color Accuracy for editing photo and video as well as good performance for gaming. 95% DCIP3 color accuracy was plenty for my needs personally and I am using 16 bit 100MP GFX 100 files. A 200hz refresh rate is more than I will ever see in most games that I play. The brightness is 400 cd/m^2 which is more than my second ultrawide and plenty for the environment I use this in. Usage wise, You definitely dont NEED 45in of ultrawide display but in gaming (if the game supports it), it is absolutely gorgeous. Being able to watch a movie while I am editing is also pretty nice as well. The only downside I have really come across is the fact that it has about an inch less screen height wise. My old 21:9 Ultrawide monitor had a screen height of 14.29". So while I obviously gained a vast amount of screen real estate horizontally, I lost about a little over an inch in height. This is negligible in my opinion but it would have been the icing on the cake if it was also the same vertical size. It was really the only flaw I could come up with. Genuinely love the monitor. Overall I think if youre debating on making the switch to 32:9 from 21:9 this is a fantastic intro into it before shelling out a bunch of money for bigger OLED options.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my Samsung Ultrawide for IT/ Software development, gaming, web browsing, zoom calls, etc. This is my favorite display in my house and I have multiple 4k TVs. The picture is perfect. Gaming on this monitor is life changing. You feel like you are in the game. 240hz makes for the smoothest experience!! The infinity core lighting is a fun nice feature. I use the monitor with a gabbing pc and a work laptop. I wish the monitor detected and displayed the computer that is powered on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been gaming for my whole life and this is the BEST monitor I’ve ever used. Can have multiple windows open at same time for multi tasking but also can see more details when I have just one screen open. The picture quality is very impressive and it runs incredibly smooth. It is very user friendly and not hard to set up at all. Basically plug and play. It also has less wires than my previous monitors making for less clutter. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great affordable gaming monitor.

As of today it is for sure the Best gaming monitor out there without a question. I was a little bit nervous because of the negative reviews but fortunately I am one happy owner.
