This is my first sport action camera. Exploring features and capabilities this camera model. One of these days I'll try to shoot underwater. Thanks.

I use this for sports stills as well as documentary video production. Surprisingly enough, it's an excellent action photo camera thanks to the beautifully sharp and high refresh rate viewfinder, amazingly refined grip and build (Sony has made huge strides here compared to precious alphas), an autofocus system that never lets me down, and overall great speed - not sure if it's the small sensor resolution or processor but doing everything on this camera is FAST. If you don't have a need for cropping heavily on your images and shoot any video, this is a dream camera.

I have tried everything with this lens since buying it, portrait, stills, action, scenic... You name it, I've tried it. It is one of the best lens in my arsenal. The focus speed is amazingly fast for action shots, and the images incredibly sharp paired with my E-30. I wish I had bought this lens long ago.

I've had several different kinds of cameras but this camera was the BEST! So many setting for all kinds of picture taking. Action, Distance, Colors.... The flip screen makes taking selfies easy and perfect the first time!

Used first time for a fashion show in NYC. The movie one button convenience is great. To take fast action still pictures put the camera in P mode and adjust the ISO rating. It will take great indoor action photos fast in fairly low light (no flash) in this mode. Most important is to READ the MANUAL that comes with the camera (it is in CD form and I printed it out and put it in a binder for future reference). Also read the parts about computer downloads. The view grid is great for composition and the wide angle/optical telephoto is superb for ever shot imaginable. I can use one lens for everything. Best with a 16 GB memory. Huge LCD screen. I almost never need the flash, so I keep it down. Best way to hold camera is thumb and index fingers of left hand at either end, in the grooves, if using the flash, then click with right hand. Experiment with P and other modes, as well as auto mode. This is an advanced amateur, semi-pro-professional camera that beats SLR cameras in size and meets their performance in lens and pixel density, and it weighs next to nothing, fits in the shirt pocket, and does video as well as still. Great buy.

Never be afraid to use your action camera in the water again! I used it everyday while in the water in Aruba. Best use was while snorkeling. Perfect!
