I use them for my ATH-M50Xs and am able to store them without folding the headphones up

After using many different headphones, I find the ATH-M50x Monitor Headphones accurate and extremely comfortable

I currently have the Grado RS1, and the ATH-M50's. The HD 600's have a warmer fuller sound than the RS1's. Wider sound stage. This might be due the RS1's ear pad design, which places the drivers closer to the ear. The RS1's are not known for comfort. Due to the 600's high impedance an amp is needed to really make them sing. I run mine through a Chord Mojo, and Fiio Mont Blanc. I also ordered the upgraded cable from the HD 650's. This cable is a little thicker, and has a 1/4 end plug. A little improvement in sound - maybe? Overall the 600's are very well balanced. I plan on getting the 4 pin balanced cable, and balanced amp to push them to their max. I am very pleased so far. a solid purchase!

For a non-studio purpose, I needed decent yet not spendy headphones. All the ATH-M30's I've had have been perfect, and so I went with the M30x this time from B&H. Got an excellent deal on an open box pair and they showed up fast, everything was included, headphones work perfectly and are quite comfortable for 2-hr online music jams.

I'd describe the ATH-M40x as an accurate, flat response, budget friendly headphone. It outperforms other headphones double it's price point including Audio-Technica's more premium ATH-M50x. Why? Because it doesn't add color, remains neutral and delivers an accurate sound representation regardless of the genre of music you're listening to. I realize that sound is subjective. Some people adore the Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO 250 OHM, while I personally feel there's nothing special about them and feel that they're overhyped. I'm sure some people will say that these headphones sound like trash so if I were you I would suggest listening to some sound comparisons on YouTube to see if these sound right to you. These headphones use a clamp design that encloses the sound as close to the ear as possible but because of this ear fatigue typically comes in at the 3 to 4 hour mark. Remember all headphones cause ear fatigue eventually and I feel it's a good compromise for the sound quality you get. Ideally I would only use them when mixing and choose a more comfortable headphone while recording but hey limitations produce greatness. The M40x has a reputation of having peeling ear cups because of the heat produced from warm ears but so far these have held up great. I gave this product 5 stars, not because they are perfect but because they exceeded my expectations overall. This is a product I would keep for a lifetime.

Love this case. They fit my Audio-Technica ATH-M50x headphones perfectly. Nice quality. Good protection shell. Nifty pocket inside for cables. Keeps my headphones clean from dust while not using them.

ATH 50x is a great monitor full size headphones. I have compared them with Beats studio which does not even stand a change on the sound quality. The build quality is sturdy and comfortable on my ears. They come with detachable cables for travel. It comes with a carry bag but i think it better to bundle it with sports case.

This is the 3rd pair of ATH M50x headphones I've personally used and the 2nd pair we've bought as a business for a video editing station. They're comfortable. We appreciate the long cable option they include, along with a shorter length and coiled version also, giving many options.

I currently own several pairs of headphones (2 Sennheiser, 2 AKG, 1 Grado) and that doesn't include in-ear/earbuds. The ATH-M50x's are my favorite! Great sound, comfortable & easy to drive. I like that they come with 3 different cable lengths. They are over ear, meaning a little bigger, but that helps seal out external sounds. Highly recommended!
