I love being able to listen to vinyl both in my nice headphones as well as out of my speakers, so i was looking for a preamp/amp that would act as a preamp when i wanted to listen thru my speakers, and would act as a headphone amp when i plugged in my headphones. and all while not taking up a massive piece of real estate and massive chunk of change. this did just the trick! With the addition of some shielded cables, i was able to get my setup exactly how i wanted it. you might see some other reviews about audio bleed-over in the inputs, while this is true, as long as you have nothing playing on those other inputs, you won't be able to notice it. 5 |

I use this amp to power headphones connected to an airplay device. I use the optical connection for ultimate quality. At fist I was concerned if it could adequately drive my 300 ohm Sennheizer HD600 headphones because it is just USB powered. But when I got it, It became clear that I had nothing to worry about! Wonderful, Clean, accurate sound. Excellent for both Classical music and hot Jazz. It can also serve as a preamp, so you could connect powered speakers, or a power amp and full size speakers. Although it works well usb powered from my Mac Mini, I advise getting the AC adapter so you are not draining usb power from other usb devices. Well packaged, come with a carry pouch, good fit and Finnish, responsive customer support. Simply Excellent at any price, fantastic at this price! 5 |
