Best Bass Preamp With Headphone

This is 'the most comfortable headphone' I have ever owned. Sounds amazing with lots of details and depth; especially sub-bass. Best sounding closed-back I ever heard. Thanks AKG!

Purchased to split preamp XLR output signal between 2 cables to headphone and floor speaker amps. I didn't appreciate any degradation of sound quality. Pleased with results at a reasonable price, vs. 2 expensive splitter boxes.

The monitors are well built and sound great. They have good volume with a very nice amount of bass, and they are not too big for a desk. I connected them to a headphone amp / preamp (PC-DAC-amp/preamp) via RCA and there is very little to no hiss, whine, or static. I’ve only heard a bit of hiss a couple of times in over a few weeks of use. An on/off switch at the front would have been convenient, but my headphone amp/preamp has a remote that allows to turn preamp output on/off and also control the volume, so with a setup like that it is a non-issue. For someone connecting to PC via USB-C directly this is probably not an issue as well. Overall they are reasonably small, well-built speakers that sound great and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good pair of desktop monitors!

I upgraded my Apogee Element 24 to this new Symphony Desktop interface. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the headphone preamp.  I don't have a well treated room in my apartment. So mixing with headphone(Sennheiser HD650 is my main workhorse) is my usual practice. Element 24 has a solid HP. But the HP on Symphony Desktop gives me even better details and clearer bottom end on frequency spectrum. Compared to Symphony Desktop, the HP on Element was a bit muddy at the bottom end. The sound stage is also noticeably wider with symphony desktop. For mic preamp, I haven't done any comparison yet. I'll update this post when I have time to do it.

Very good sounding headphone. Not for bass heads. Bass is clear, you can make out the pitch of drums and basses very well. Sounds good with a phone or laptop, much better with my expensive dac headphone amp. Big, not for portable use. Ear cups swivel to get best fit. Our heads are not perfectly square, are they?

Amazing headphone with superb balance of high and low audio with just appropriate bass!

This mic is a no brainer to setup. All I did was just switch on the bass roll off to match the vocalist voice I was recording. The greatest thing about this mic is no matter how hard the vocalists sang there were no distortions. The voice was clear and uncolored. It is unbelievable that a mic for around this price point (300ish) can make such a difference to a track. Imagine I tested it out with an air conditioning unit on behind it and it rejected the noise from it. This is the amazing thing about this mic. Record in a noisy room and it would cancel out most of the unwanted sound. It is early days yet and I cannot complain. Buy this mic while they are still being manufactured. I am getting another one for my drum kit snare. It is heavy but no hassle. A little secret I have a UAD Apollo twin. I inserted the 610A preamp plugin on the console preamp insert slot and it had enough gain to spare. I could not believe what I heard. An elephant can use this mic.
