Best Budget Amd Cpu For Gaming

Best value AMD CPU for gaming (best overall for gaming by far IMO). You won't get hardly any noticeable FPS increase with the more expensive Vermeer chips so I chose this one. If you are doing more than gaming though then they can be very worth it. This 5600x is great and I am very satisfied so far. The stock cooler is pretty much good enough for most things as well but still something to think about upgrading if you are doing CPU intense things with your PC. CPU fan coolers are pretty cheap anyways.10/10 will be using this same CPU for the next person who asks me for help building a gaming/all around rig. 5 |

The AMD Ryzen 9 5950X an outstanding CPU. It is capable of any task either gaming or video editing. For the price this is the best production CPU I have tested. I highly recommend the Ryzen 9 5950X. 5 |

I'll start by saying I have over the years gone back and forth between AMD and Intel with whoever has the best CPU at the time for my gaming habits. This later also expanded into some stuff like video editing and streaming from time to time. Though I still use my system for gaming 95% of the time. That said I also love to build PC's and typically enjoy the higher end enthusiast builds. Because of this I have over the past 10 years been using Intel's HEDT motherboards like X79, X99 and now X299 chipsets. Currently running an X299 Asus Rampage VI Apex board I had originally purchased with an i9-7900X. Based on this I felt an easy and now cheaper upgrade to the i9-10920X CPU would be the best route. Yes there are better AMD CPU's out there right now, but Intel still does very well in the gaming performance. So since this was just a CPU swap out for me it was the best way to go I could keep everything else in my system as is. This motherboard has been rock solid and only 2 years old at this moment. I was not disappointed, this CPU works great out of the box. Has very good turbo features for those that don't know how to overclock. It will consistently run 2 cores at 4.8Ghz, 2 at 4.7Ghz, 2 or 3 at 4.6, and the rest at 4.5 down to 4.4. Using Intel Turbo Boost Max 3.0 software you can force older games that use typically 1 main core to use your strongest cores first for the extra speed. If the program/game has great multicore support then you have the 12 cores which really is plenty for gaming and enough for a good balance of production unless you crunch videos all day. OC wise I have only messed with it some so far but it's not hard to get this CPU to 5.0Ghz on all cores with what I am using, a Corsair H115i Pro AIO water cooler. 5 |

Im using this RAM with a low-end budget gaming build: AMD Ryzen 3 2200g, Asus Prime B350M-A, 128GB PNY SSD, 1TB WD Blue 7200RPM HDD Ive never have had the experience of having more than 4GB of ram in my pc, and I hope that this RAM will perform well in the future, and I might buy this again if an upgrade is needed. Im also looking ahead to overclocking the RAM so that it will work better with the CPU, and so that my gaming experience will be better than before. 5 |

I am learning to enjoy my ASUS 15.6 Vivobook. It is a replacement for my nearly 14 year old laptop that has seen better days. I am on a limited budget, but I didn't want mediocre specs that would be outdated in 6 months. I do mainly internet browsing, some productivity work (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.), some low intensity gaming, and on occasion some video editing for my socials. Bottom line - You should probably get one while qtys and pricing are good. Pros - It has the specs I wanted (i9 CPU, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) at a great price. More than enough computing power for gaming, casual internet browsing, and the occasional homework/essay. It included FREE 2-Day Shipping - I am on the West Coast. Screen colors are vibrant, keyboard is keyboard-y with backlit keys. The laptop itself is not the lightest out there, but is hardly the boat anchor ROG ASUS I still own that is on its last legs. It's offered thru a reputable dealer. Cons (ish) - Only 1920x1080 resolution and no touchscreen. I haven't really encountered any other negatives so far. It's been a while since I purchased MY own laptop. To be transparent, I have helped recommend and even purchased several laptops over the years for my family and friends. My previous-current laptop is a still-running ASUS G51J (i7 CPU 1st Gen, 6GB RAM, 500GB 2.5 HDD) - battery doesn't charge, but still works plugged in. I purchased it from B&H also circa 2010. Being a frugal tinkerer myself, but wanting the best value for my budget, I researched and compared several buying sources including big box stores, national (U.S.) retail chains and even Amazon, but I still chose B&H. Even though I am on the West Coast, I still found value in the products they offer as well as the service and buying experience. Did I mention FREE 2-Day shipping from the East Coast (NY). Hope this review helps. 5 |

When this came out it wasn't the greatest CPU especially at an MSRP of about $80-$90 when it was released. But for $60 this makes a great budget gaming CPU capable of playing even today's PC titles. Highly recommend this CPU for a budget gaming PC build. 5 |
