Iv had this monitor for a few years and has always worked great. Have used it for gaming and work and never fails to impress. With the use of freesync you can improve the Hz.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Odyssey G7 is excellent for gaming. It has a native 240Hz refresh rate, FreeSync support, and is compatible with NVIDIA's G-SYNC. The response time at its max refresh rate and 60Hz are excellent, resulting in minimal blur. Its narrow viewing angles make it less ideal for co-op gaming, but luckily, it displays deep blacks if you want to game in the dark. Excellent response time. It can reach a 175Hz refresh rate, with the support of FreeSync variable refresh rate and G-SYNC compatibility. The lightning-quick response time makes for smooth motion handling. The curved screen provides an immersive gaming experience. The perfect contrast ratio is great for gaming in dark rooms, as blacks are deep and inky. On the other hand, blacks look purple in bright environments. It also has a low input lag, so gaming on this monitor is responsive. PROS Near-infinite contrast ratio. Buttery-smooth motion. FreeSync VRR support with G-SYNC compatibility. CONS Ambient light causes blacks to have a purple tint. Risk of burn-in with static elements.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this monitor on sale to replace a 27in gaming monitor cause I needed more desktop to multitask and wanted a bigger gaming monitor all in one. This fits the requirements and within my budget. There are no dead pixels that I can see and the mini leds are awesome. I have noticed some light bleed, but only on dark blank screens like season 8 GoT, but are not noticed during game play. The gaming overlay can be annoying when you are just waking it up, but doesn't come up unless you want it to. The connections are plenty to have this as a monitor, a console screen, and a smart TV. Try not to have this in the same room with another Samsung tv, as it will wake and or turn on or off with the other remotes. Solid smart monitor and it came with cables! Want to get another one, but the wife won't let me get a bigger desk, until we get a bigger house...haha! If you are a high end gamer, you might not like it, but check out the more in depth reviews to make a decision. Everyone else on a gaming budget, catch this monitor on sale, you won't regret it.

Arguably the best budget 1080p gaming monitor that you can buy. Great colors, even though its a little saturated, but I like that look. Impressive features like Freesync, 165hz (up to 180hz OC), 1ms response time (although a bit misleading), and its IPS panel. It's sharp, has good customizability, and is overall very good. There isnt really anything bad I can say about this monitor. BUY IT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great monitor if you are on a budget. I got 3 of them and use them for both work and gaming and I love them so far. Great viewing angles also. Response is very good too if you do plan to game on them. It may not be 120hz refresh but it is 75hz. For the casual gamer you won't tell the difference.

This monitor really is something else. I'm upgrading from a pretty budget Dell gaming monitor, same 27 size, but every other spec is a huge upgrade. The colors are vibrant, it responds insanely fast, and the framerate and clarity of motion is completely unmatched on the market currently. Coming from a 1080p monitor, the pixel density has far surpassed my previous experience. Additionally, the monitor has a lot of tools to help you get a long life out of it as well that prevent burn-in. The monitor is fantastic for the form factor. I won’t say that it’s perfect. I’m still getting used to the glossy finish of the screen. It sometimes takes a few seconds to alt-tab out of a game. Still, the monitor is the best thing I’ve laid my eyes on and it’s been an absolute pleasure to use. I highly recommend it!

I bought that monitor 1.5 months ago.. and i have 0 issue no flickering no ghosting. No nothing I have freesync on with out VRR enabled, if i use nvidia card than i turn adaptive sync with vrr on.
