Best Budget Gaming Monitor Under 200 Ips Freesync

Iv had this monitor for a few years and has always worked great. Have used it for gaming and work and never fails to impress. With the use of freesync you can improve the Hz.

Great monitor for gaming and productivity. Being an IPS panel the colors are great but with the downsides of having less contrast when compared to a VA panel. Pick your poison I guess. Overall I am very happy after having switched from a Samsung G9 which while impressive was just too big for my desk.

To start, the photo is to try to compare the new MSI QD-OLED with my IPS monitor. The photo really does not do it justice but I tried, in person this QD-OLED makes the IPS look very washed out and dull. That said, this is the best monitor available for gaming. It is 1440p which is a nice middle ground of good pixel density for this screen size while still being not too bad in trying to push a high frame rate (you will not be able to get a high frame rate from a 4k monitor). The 360hz refresh rate on oled means this monitor also has amazing motion clarity which makes it really good for competitive games while still looking amazing for more scenic games thanks to the QD-OLED panel. Also unlike some other OLED panels out there, this one does not use a matte coating so it looks much better. This monitor is also nice for watching tv or movies, while it has many nice things for games, this is still a QD-OLED so it has amazing color and contrast. So it's a great multimedia consumption device altogether. Two other nice things is a 90 watt usb-c port with DisplayPort which should help keep desk setup stay looking clean. Monitor stand is nice and heavy so the monitor doesn't wiggle around while you are typing or gaming.

The response time at its max refresh rate and 60Hz are excellent, resulting in minimal blur. Its narrow viewing angles make it less ideal for co-op gaming, but luckily, it displays deep blacks if you want to game in the dark. Excellent response time. It can reach a 175Hz refresh rate, with the support of FreeSync variable refresh rate and G-SYNC compatibility. The lightning-quick response time makes for smooth motion handling. The curved screen provides an immersive gaming experience. The perfect contrast ratio is great for gaming in dark rooms, as blacks are deep and inky. On the other hand, blacks look purple in bright environments. It also has a low input lag, so gaming on this monitor is responsive. PROS Near-infinite contrast ratio. Buttery-smooth motion. FreeSync VRR support with G-SYNC compatibility. CONS Ambient light causes blacks to have a purple tint. Risk of burn-in with static elements.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this monitor on sale to replace a 27in gaming monitor cause I needed more desktop to multitask and wanted a bigger gaming monitor all in one. This fits the requirements and within my budget. There are no dead pixels that I can see and the mini leds are awesome. I have noticed some light bleed, but only on dark blank screens like season 8 GoT, but are not noticed during game play. The gaming overlay can be annoying when you are just waking it up, but doesn't come up unless you want it to. The connections are plenty to have this as a monitor, a console screen, and a smart TV. Try not to have this in the same room with another Samsung tv, as it will wake and or turn on or off with the other remotes. Solid smart monitor and it came with cables! Want to get another one, but the wife won't let me get a bigger desk, until we get a bigger house...haha! If you are a high end gamer, you might not like it, but check out the more in depth reviews to make a decision. Everyone else on a gaming budget, catch this monitor on sale, you won't regret it.
