I upgraded from the last Intel MacBook Air, the 2020 model, with 8GB of RAM. I use Photoshop to edit my photos and it was running laggy on the Intel model. The new Denoise feature in Camera RAW was especially slow requiring about 4 minutes to process a photo. My new M2 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM processes a photo in about 40 seconds. It also has way more battery life when compared to an Intel MacBook Air. 5 |

I had a 2020 MacBook Air 8GB RAM before this computer. The upgrade to 16GB RAM with M2 is huge. Much better screen, more snappy in applications, and noticeably better battery life. All around a significantly bigger upgrade than I imagined it would be. 5 |

My older Dell laptop (inspiron 15-7569) came with only 8gb ram; upgrading to 16gb was the best option other than buying a new laptop. So for under $70 I get a performance boost and don't have to shell out $1000 for a new laptop. And I did it myself using instructions found on the Crucial website. 5 |
