Several years ago I purchased a budget softbox set up from Amazon. When I decided that an upgrade is in order I started by replacing those bendy, wobbly, worrisome light stands. Wow! Ive been working with training wheels way too long. I put this right to work on a portrait shoot. It provides a stable place for my speedlight and softbox. You would have to do a lot of talking to convince me this is anything other than a great value. A definite upgrade at a price I can afford.

There other smart speakers available. Depending on your application, and budget if the HomePod is right for you. Apple used the extra cost in price on its device in sound quality. If you already have apple products you can use your calendar, reminder, and notes it can do those tasks, but anything more complex than that like purchasing things from Amazon. You may want to add an Amazon Dot. The build quality and sound stage is excellent nothing else comes close in sound on the same form factor. It will stream your itunes library or you can you use airplay to stream other sources that's compatible. A great product that will probably improve in time.

I got hosed on a budget webcam on Amazon and paid over $80 for a product that wasn't actually capturing video in 1080p and could basically only stay zoomed in on my forehead. Wish I had sprung for a midrange webcam like this one to begin with. If you're struggling with a decision between this one and something slightly cheaper, do yourself a favor and just spring for this one so you don't end up needing to buy two webcams. The picture quality is great for Zoom, live streaming, etc., the auto focus is a nice touch, and the wide-angle lens can display more in the frame than my (admittedly gigantic) forehead. The included privacy cover is nice for those of us concerned with live streaming when we don't intend to be.
