As a film student on a budget, I had done plenty of research before committing to this purchase and I am glad I did. I am even happier that this adapter performs even better that I expected it to after reading and watching reviews. The lens flares are a satisfying diamond blue and perfectly horizontal once you have correctly positioned the adapter in front of the lens. I shoot on a Lumix G7 so I had to get a step-up ring to fit the adapter with the 46mm lens mount. I think getting SLR Magic's anamorphic adapter is a better option than buying a full-on anamorphic lens because you are free to attach it to different zoom or prime lenses with different focal lengths and depths of field. 5 |

I am a college student with a very limited budget. I recommend this to any indy filmmaker/those starting out. This is a great cine lens. Great built, very smooth aperture ring and focus ring! I would not hesitate to buy another cine lens from Rokinon. Best bang for your buck! 5 |

great lens if ur new to photography and want a good budget prime lens! I have the sony a7riii and this lens is perfect to start out and learn how to use my new camera. if ur also a student like me I 100% recommend pros: the AMAZING price for product value. cons: the chromatic aberration and the auto focus is bad but if ur a student working in studio you will be just fine. for the price is great 5 |

I'm a College Student, and my budget doesn't allow for a lot of expensive toys, but I love film making! How do a juggle a low budget but maintain one expensive hobby? I cut corners! I received the Davis & Sanford W3 Dolly with 3 Ball Rubber Wheels with a tripod I purchased and boy, it was a dream come true! I thought this dolly would just rattle and make noise, and I figured its only use would be to make my tripod more mobile at a shoot, but the dolly turned out to be of extremely good quality! the wheels are very quiet and glide along smoothly on flat surfaces and even carpet. Outside applications are trickier as there is no shock system, so any sizable bump will affect your video. But this dolly was so quiet and worked so well that I have used it to capture those camera slider-esque shots without having to purchase an expensive slider system. It also adds quite a bit of height to your tripod which is more of a plus than a minus if your tripods are capable of adjusting properly. Bottom line: This is an awesome dolly which I have been able to use while filming in ways I never thought it could be useful for! I would recommend this beast to anybody, especially those who want functionality for a low price. 5 |

If you are considering a prosumer camera look no further. As a broadcasting major, I've been fortunate enough to be able to try out several different cameras by different manufacturers, Sony, Panasonic, JVC. I've worked with the Canon XL2 plenty of times (EXCELLENT CAMERA)-but on a student's budget, you simply cannot beat the GL-2. It shares many of the same features as the XL-2, and with Canon having proprietary lenses, takes great video. I HIGHLY recommend buying this with one of the packages available from B&H, the extras are things you will need down the road (I guarantee you'll want a larger capacity battery along with the included one-it doesn't last very long). Regardless of the application, if you are a start up studio, student on a budget, or want to take REALLY GOOD home video, the GL-2 is your camera. 5 |
