Bought another universal charger at Best Buy (warning: do not buy from them as there is no warranty) and it broke after a month or so of use, due to one of the pins breaking. This seems much more reliable and I like that there is a lip that holds in the battery while it is charging. The charging also seems fast.

Best charger for MP- FW50 battery. Can charge in the car, with usb also. Best choice.

This dock delivers. One USB-C Thunderbolt cable to the HP laptop is all that is needed to drive 2 27 inch monitors, wireless mouse & keyboard, webcam, and a USB thumb drive. The cable also maintains a charge on the laptop and all that is needed is a single touch to the power button on the dock to wake the system.

Absolutely love it, the USB ports on our HP laptop, which is used as our main computer, I.e. Desk top, are on the sides under the curve. A little out of the way. The 4-Port hub allows me to plug and remove flash drives with ease. Come income tax time I'll have plenty of ports to handle additional drives.

I have an HP laptop with 2 USB 3.0 ports and 2 Thunderbolt ports. I have 2 Western digital drives attached to my USB ports and wanted to use a third USB 3.0 drive to perform backups without having to use a USB hub. This works perfectly and has allowed me to attach my USB 3.0 backup drive as needed to the Thunderbolt port and it powers the drive fine with all drive functionality working. I also use it to attach my Sony XQD card reader to import photos and that works great too! Can’t beat this for the price and it has a small footprint so I just always leave it attached.

Best experience with a Mac laptop since my original computer, a Mac Powerbook back in the late 1990s. Smoother, faster and a step above my current Mac Mini (16gb ram, 3+GHz, etc.). Those who bemoan the lack of connection ports should be assuaged by the many 3rd party plug-in USB C hubs on the market. They provide USB ports of every description as well as an SD card reader and an HDMI port for your monitor. These things look good and don't detract from the appearance of the computer, many of them look like they were designed to blend in with the computer, because they were.
